Yes he will no doubt start at west ham and he really needs to step up like he did towards the end of the 2012/13 season. He can't just keep getting away with having 3 or 4 good games a season.

Bacuna had his bad games at RB though. He has more pace than Lowton but i wouldn't say he's a better defender. His positional play was dire.

How many chances has Hutton actually created? I'm not denying he's stronger defensively but Lowton breaks up the play well and is more likely to create a decisive chance.

Is Reus the next one to go to Bayern.

and there has to be question marks about our youth development. We have had plenty of good 17/18 year olds but very few have come through and made it in the first team. Is that Lambert's fault?

I think I would have more respect for Lambert if he had of stuck to his guns with the likes of Bent and Hutton but the fact he has re-introduced them makes me think he doesn't really know what he's doing. I was all for the young hungry players policy, because I thought there was a chance of progress season by season but now whats left.

Hutton was at fault for the Everton third goal. Gave the ball back to them then turned around while they took a quick free kick. Cardinal sin. Lowton has tons more quality on the ball than Hutton and crosses and passes better and these days a modern fullback is so much more than just a defender. With Hutton we still concede goals but don't create chances with Lowton we concede goals but he will always create one or two great chances a match , like on Sunday when he created that one for Benteke which he should have scored from.

Yes we should have got the contract sorted. I know he was one of the high earners and he probably wanted more money but if we loose out on a transfer fee we have only ourselves to blame.

If he does go on a free we haven't really had value for money out of Delph. A big money signing from Leeds, on the treatment table most of the time he's been with us and only come good these last two seasons. Mind you we are not in the strongest position to get our top players to sign contracts with our spiralling position in the league. Nobody is going to want to play championship football next season.

Its surprising how badly Dortmund are doing in the league when they are steamrolling their group in the champions league. If I had to support any team in the Bundesliga it would be them.

I think Gabby did have the attributes to play the lone striker role, but not anymore.

I'm not a fan of Hutton. Fair play to him he's done ok this season. I know Lowton has his defensive frailities but I prefer him as a footballer and think he did pretty well against Spurs.

I hope that Lowton peforms well enough so Hutton doesn't get his place back.

Yes two decisions he failed to make. Poor ref! Two poor teams. Crap match.

I'd still start Gabby over Bent. Really don't think Bent offers anything except the remote possibility of a goal.

Yes its no excuse for his poor performances, I don't think he's a central striker either myself, he's too lazy to make the runs...Weimann on the otherhand could get you 10/15 goals a season if played centrally.

Yeh, I mean it's not like he would trust him to mark Messi in the World Cup semis or anything like that. So did Celta Vigo at the weekend, maybe United should just sign their entire back four. Simples. Anybody can raise themselves for one game, the mark of a good player is doing it consistently, he doesn't. Vlaar is nowhere near good enough for united, he is not good enough for most teams above us right now. He is utterly average I am sad repeat. Its not as so Celta Vigo marked him out of the game to be fair.

I think it takes time to adjust to the pace and the intensity of the Premier League. He does seem to tire late on in games. He will come good and we will all be praising him.

To be fair the midfield was ok until Benteke was sent off. We do miss Delph though.
