  1. really I was looking forward to that match. I hope its a genuine injury and he's not just knackered.
  2. Origi prefered to him in the starting 11 for Belgium against Wales. I'm a little surprised by that. Could be a classic game!
  3. Yes theres the obvious one by Banks against Pele, but a lesser known one is the penalty save he made against West Ham for Stoke in the league cup. Quite brilliant
  4. True, Dylan was there idol
  5. But Dylan also had an influence on the Beatles music.
  6. I could never class him in the overrated category because he is one of the best songwriters of all time. Look at the list of artists that has covered his songs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_artists_who_have_covered_Bob_Dylan_songs Yes he has a terrible voice but I'd rather have a songwriter who can't sing than the other way around.
  7. Its not like that at all, not many people who weren't born then have seen enough of Nat Lofthouse and the football of that era to judge him. The music of the Beatles and anything else from that era is freely available for all to judge. It is therefore an invalid comparison and a nonsensical point. People not from that era can judge because the material is available. You appear to be saying that no one can appreciate Shakespeare because you aren't from that era and if anyone claimed that they'd be ridiculed. Yes but in the 60s we didn't have the same amount of choice so people are judging them on what is around today and in the last 40 years or so. Also you can't truly appreciate how much impact and how much they shaped music if you wern't there. Its a nonsense that people claim they are overrated.
  8. Whatever he can play thats the point... and my point about people judging the Beatles when they weren't around in that era stands. Its like saying Nat Lofthouse was overrated.
  9. England started playing after going a goal down. Once again Welbeck is the standout player for England
  10. Muse though are good musicians so I wouldn't say they are overrated. Yeah Bellamy is so good he has to have a roadie change his effect pedals while he plays. He's a classically trained pianist. Its about opinions but I think he's very good. Also I notice a lot of people have voted for the Beatles. Come on unless you were around in the 60s you can't judge just how good and influential they were.
  11. RIP, so William Dugdale was chairman at the time the Bendalls were in charge?
  12. In fairness Lendl was prepared to be a part time coach but Murray didn't want that.
  13. Ireland only have themselves to blame. Oneill by taking off Long and not replacing him with Keane played for the draw and Scotland fully deserved to win the game. Anyway I think Poland and Germany will definately be the top two sides.
  14. Muse though are good musicians so I wouldn't say they are overrated.
  15. and a new coach wouldn't make as much difference as people think, he's not as good since his back surgery. Fact is he hasn't beaten a top player since then and taken some really beatings against Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. Also the top 2 have got better.
  16. He said afterwards he was embarassed for Murray. Novak and Fed the two best players this years will have a good tustle in the final. Hard to call the winner but Djokovic maybe has the slight edge given his record indoors.
  17. I'm sure what ever he has done cannot be as bad as what Marlon King has repeatedly done and I don't think he was given airtime on QT after he he was allowed back into football.
  18. None of those on the list. I would say U2
  19. Sign him up. 8 mil is a bargain!
  20. Depends how you define great! The positives is our heritage and countryside. The big negative is the drinking culture we have here.
  21. Yes he had a chance last season to prove he could still score goals at Fulham and failed. Not sure what he offers now! I don't rate Gabby too highly but I'd pick him evertime over Bent, same with Weimann.
  22. yes some classics there. I didn't realise he directed double indemnity. Great director, some of these modern ones try to **** with your head too much for my liking.
  23. Yes law of averages suggest Southampton have to loose one soon and we have to win one.
  24. Yes I think he played all his games at right back for Southampton and was impressive.
