  1. Really big game. as has been said, if we can get the win, we really can start looking upwards. We've got a decent little run now. Unfortunately we're hitting Fulham just when they are picking up some good results as well. Drop Downing and bring back Agbag!
  2. 8m? Try £14,000,000. Having said that, I think he's performed incredibly this season. If he was a weird foreigner Holloway picked up for 500k this Summer, rather than a fat man from Scotland, the price wouldn't be being roundly mocked so.
  3. Bit different I think, not 100% though. Barca wanted to keep him but were not allowed to offer him a pro contract as he was only 15. We have no such laws, and Arse signed him on the day of his 16th birthday, if he'd stayed at Barca he'd have had to wait till he was 18. I think.
  4. I want Gab on the wing to cover Clark and up front to rape Vidic once again, hmmm. I think I'd go --------Brad-------- --Collins--Dunne-- Cuellar-------Clark ----Petrov-NRC---- Concorde---Gabby -----Young--------- --------Bent------- Young and Gab can sort of switch to a 442/451 formation.
  5. Albrighton has been better than him for me. He's much more important to our side. We wouldn't miss Clark if he got injured for a month (normally, bearing in mind the Baker and Warnock situation - and yes this does sort of bugger up my point but I'll press on regardless), if Albrighton isn't there I really think we'd be missing the width he gives us after a few games.
  6. Never seen him play, but people on here were crying he was so good when we were linked.
  7. Like this I think -------------Fried--------------- --------------------------------- Walker-Cuellar-Clark--Baker -------NRC------Bannan------- Delf--------Pires--------Agbag ------------Heskey------------- Only thing I'm not sure of is if Clark or Baker is centre back.
  8. Wasn't sure what was going on with Luke Young's fitness? If he's fit and has a few days training under his belt, I'd happily put him left back. Johnson really did well against Clark and only got 20 mins, N'Zogbia will be starting on the right for them so could cause a lot of problems.
  9. To be fair I think he wanted to win something as well. He saw O'Neill in the transfer market and could see we were never getting above 6th with him. Man City are currently 3rd, we're 16th. He just misjudged how much he'd be playing. I'd have him back no trouble.
  10. Battling performance. Bloody love Albrighton, he must get in at least 3 really dangerous crosses every single game he plays in. In a game today where we defended for 90% of it, he still managed 5. Once Bent gets used to the team, can see him getting a fair few near post goals from Albrighton's balls in. Fried - 6 Cuellar - 8 Collins - 8 Dunne - 7 Clark - 6 Albrighton - 7 Petrov - 6 Downing - 6 Agbag - 6 Young - 7 Bent - 7
  11. Bloody hell that would a turn up for the books. Anyone else keep forgetting he plays for us? I still think there is a player in there somewhere. He'll look better in a team that is in control of possession, a lot like Downing.
  12. Great great signing, but a big blow to Delf who was starting to look a serious contender to start. Up to him to prove he can still get in head of a £24m player, don't let your head drop Nath! Really hope Makoun is available, but far too many stories saying his permit will not be done. I'd go Fried Walker Cuellar Collins Clarke Marcy Marc Makoun Reo Coco Young Bent Agbag --- Not interested in bottlers. When there is work to be done and tackles to be won, Stew disappears. At least Albers gets back to track his men. Put pressure on them and get the ball into forwards feet. Gone for them 2 in the middle because we're going to be doing a lot of defending.
  13. I originally said back him. And I do still stand by that. Don't really understand those people who suddenly love him because he's signed a few players?
  14. Well I think we've been quite decent tbh. Maybe its the trash I've seen so far this season that's making me think that. Can't wait to get some proper midfielders. I'm at the stage of just laughing at Petrov and Reo-Coco the clown now.
  15. What on Earth would you play Gardner for, are you mad? Never played in the prem, one reserve game after a year out with injury. I feel sorry for him, for some reason he seems to be thought of as the next Zidane. Nervous.
  16. Agree with Dion. We need men. The only players who have impressed consistently this season have been the kids like Albrighton. Downing does nothing when the pressure is on. Let's see what you've **** got Villa! Who is going to stand up against the storm? Stan? Nige? Emile? Massive game.
  17. It's very interesting how the young players all seem to like him so much and the older ones are a lot more sceptical. What's for sure, he isn't fannying around trying to bring people round to his way of thinking. He already knows who he likes and who he wants to be a part of the team in the future. It's either going to be brilliant, or disastrous. What's sort of good in a very twisted way, is that there is no way he can tear the heart out of the team because we haven't had one at all since he came in. There was so much going on following the Milner sale, the team was incredibly disjointed and I think anyone coming in at that time would have struggled. He's building some sort of creation but will it be a beauty or a beast? Back him.
  18. His arms fell off Read it on twitter.
