  1. I'd be a big supporter of this. Yes risk, but he's been very good wherever he's been. When he left Leeds and they fell apart, it came out it was him doing all the coaching and getting the players ready in a system for Wise to come and pick the team. Done well at Brighton, flying start, fell away a bit, but they do play nice stuff, I'd like to think he could get us doing that after a Summer with the side. Young manager as well, which would hopefully work well with our young squad we now rely on. One thing I really like is he looks all over the shop for players. He's brought a couple of foreign chaps in here and there, but also bought cleverly from lower leagues so he's got that magic thing of having an open mind. Unfortunately, he may bugger off to Chelsea the season after.
  2. I'll have the titles and cups coming out of our ears, and a pinky spotty kit please
  3. Oh my God, we're the new Newcastle.
  4. Players of the 1970s through the 2000s must use Heskey as the ultimate example of them missing the boat. The guy's had about 50 good games in his entire career and yet has earned enough to live comfortably for about 20 lifetimes.
  5. Don't know why everyone is so confident he's going. No pressure from above at all. I don't think McLeish will leave this Summer, Faulkner will made an absolute hash of it and sack him in November when we're bottom, wasting another season. I'd like Poyet. AVB might be a decent shout you know, much less pressure than Chelsea, no big characters to upset, and I'd back him if he wanted to ship out the likes of Dunne and Collins.
  6. If we get a new manager and get offered 24m, bite their hands off. If we don't, do NOT give McLeish any money to waste. I don't think McLeish will leave this Summer, Faulkner will made an absolute hash of it and sack him in November when we're bottom, wasting another season.

  8. Disgusting footballer. Everyone thought he'd be shit, and he has been. Bit like McLeish really.
  9. I know where I'd go if given that choice...
  10. He's fairly good, but as has been hinted at, he's just clearly not shit like countless other pundits. Everyone on the BBC except Dixon and Seedorf is absolutely gash. I actually think Souness and Hoddle are quite good you know, they occasionally offer something different and point out something I'll have missed watching a game. For years, football producers have presumed fans know nothing about the game. The only different between wasters like Hansen and me is that he was good at playing football, that means absolutely nothing when it comes to understanding it. Otherwise we'd be talking about Paul Gascoigne, Alan Shearer and Maradona as the best managers ever.
  11. I don't think he'll go at all. Not sure where the confidence has come from.
  12. But we've got 40,000 seats. We're never going to win anything ever again apart from the occasional FA Cup / League Cup, so I just want to be entertained from now.
  13. Not all the blame attached to McLeish from me for last night. Team looked good up till 62nd minute. Players on the pitch collapsed horribly, not his fault. He picked an iffy looking line up but Heskey played very well and I thought Zog showed glimpses as well. Big mistakes were not taking off Albrighton for Carruthers, and having Hutton on the pitch. Changes are needed at the top, we all know this, and I don't think it's fair to blame McLeish constantly for everything, as bad as he is. Randy and McLeish out!
  14. I think he's been impressive. Strong unit and looks to do the right thing (pass it rather than hump it, James take note).
  15. He's not good enough at football to get away with it. Needs to get hold of Premier League lawyers.
  16. We're going to be in a bad way for the duration of his time here. The young players will know fans hate him, and will never have the desire to play for him, knowing fans will take it out on him rather than them.
  17. What does the Justice campaign want?
  18. It's incredibly annoying. They such a poor poor side. Rooney, Young, Vidic are good. Vidic hasn't even bloody played this year! It's just absolute confidence. They think they're going to win every game. 31 from 33 points. The one game they drew was when they were 3-0 down at HT away at Chelsea. Them demolishing the league shows the weakness of it at the moment.
  19. And, look, he's gone and forged himself a decent Premier League career! Hopefully Herdy can do the same.
