Lambert in.
Some of the football we played at the start of the season was top drawer, the team is just absolutely on its arse at the moment and no one wants to pass it for fear of losing it and costing the team a goal.
We're def favourites for relegation and still aren't even bottom or in the drop zone.
Also the fact that there's no one out there I really fancy to bring in, after the Bradford game, if there was, I'd seriously be considering it.
Hope the crowd are appreciative of the fact Newcastle have just brought in most of the French national team for the next 5 years if they batter us. I'm sure Lambert would love to have the money to do that.
Benteke should be left at home.
The tiny chance we've got on staying up really does rely on him for the rest of the season, I don't want him getting injured in a meaningless cup match.
He didn't kick him.
So do I, but I promise if they rolled round like that when they never got hurt I'd tell them to get a grip and stop whinging.
In this scenario the 17-year-old will survive I'm sure.
Saw Django tonight, quality.
Samuel L and the scene with the hoods were so bloody funny.
Bit with Aussies absolutely not needed, almost frustrating it was left in, I was happy and ready to applaud it as a solid 9, probably fell to an 8 because of that crap 20 mins.
Lambert is the man, but he needs to sort this mess out.
5-0-5 after Bradford scored, very poor. Don't for one minute believe this was what he was trying to do but he has to control this abysmal side and he's not doing it very well.
Lambert deserves untold credit if stay up, he's had no where near the support required.
He signed the spine of our team, Guzan, Vlaar, Westwood and Beneteke, for not a lot of cash.
I think the other two have ability, but it's not working, hey they only cost 5.5m between them!
Lambert is the man!
Lambert changes his formation more than most, this season alone is evidence of this.
Maybe he thought we were just about hanging on with 5 at the back and a shift would leave too many holes there?
I said to my housemate who is a Bradford fan they'd have to beat us by 3 clear goals 1st leg for me to think we're not going through. Didn't think it'd be so close!
Really think we'll go through. Not a clue why, we're shit.
5-1 Villa.
Very nice neat player, played well today. Unfortunately for him, we don't have time for him to ease in to the league and have a quiet 15-20 mins every so often, he's too important.
Needs to get a bit stronger, and if not, nastier.
Their first came from him weakly having a bit of a prod at Odemwingie two or three times in the middle of the park before losing him and they broke forward. He could have stopped him there and then with a bit more desire but he was too hesitant and soft.
How exactly? Because they've appointed an inexperienced manager who used to be a decent player?
They aren't in trouble. Weren't. They weren't in trouble.
He's **** shit.
Always irritates me because I do think they're the best team to ever play the game, but I say it begrudgingly with that donkey in goal. Not even a good shot stopper.
"Just driving down the motorway, you see the big stadium alongside and to think they (Aston Villa) could be playing Championship football is just unthinkable.
"If you'd said that three or four years ago, you wouldn't have believed it. But times change."
