  1. Like a Rolls Royce powered by single malt whiskey driving on chiffon silk.
  2. Last I heard was it would be next month. That's a moronic opinion. This just gave me a big laugh, thanks. What a post
  3. He struggles to control and pass the ball, this will hold him back.
  4. I like that he doesn't crap himself whenever he has the ball, nice to see some composure. He's much more measured than someone like Weimann who manages to make it a rush even when he's in space. Looking forward to seeing more of him this season.
  5. I'm a big fan of Agbag, he causes trouble more frequently than his ability should allow and has scored some huge goals for us. That season we should have for 3rd or 4th under O'Neill he must have won about six pens. It was excellent and hilarious that defenders kept chopping him down. If we're going to be under these financial constraints for the foreseeable future though, I can't agree signing him to a new 4-year contract on £50k+ a week is a good idea. However, in theory we should have a new owner in the next 18 months (please!) so money hopefully won't be as tight and we won't have to worry about it. Once his pace goes, and it is wavering at the moment for me, he's done for, hope it holds out a few more years.
  6. You'll have a great time! Edgbaston has a great atmosphere, and we tend to do OK there in the Ashes. He bowls to the leeefft....
  7. Christ, he does have a cross on him. Tidy footballer, I like him. If he works really really hard, he could give himself more of a burst off the spot it would help his defending a lot and he could make it properly in the top flight. I don't think he will sadly.
  8. Round and round we go. The lack of clarity around what happened with them last season will mean it continues until the club speak up. edit...They probably won't ever, so buckle in
  9. Westwood's technique is superior to all three for me. He won't fall out of the team without playing badly, so I'm happy with that Obviously our next five matches are obscene, so I think things will be jigged around a bit, but it'll be experimenting. Can't wait for people to whinge in here when he starts v Chelsea after we've been whipped by Liverpool and Arsenal
  10. I think I'd have Grant Holt ahead of him at the moment.
  11. Please help me grasp it all, it's too much. He got them removed, but if he felt they were not carrying out his instructions consistently, they should have been suspended earlier. We nearly got relegated for the third season in a row, we shouldn't be hanging around if there is something as plainly wrong as coaches not doing what the manager wants. I remember a press conference where he was saying things like "You don't know what's going on behind the scenes...." to journalists. Why say things like that if you don't want to make it public? A statement should have been released by the club at the end of last season explaining what happened, because a lot of negativity was heading Lambert's way for our style of play, I'd have thought he wanted to clear it up. I wasn't expecting a libelous "These two are terrible coaches" affair, but it was swept under the carpet almost as much as the Curtis Davies transfer. ---- I love how boring Keane finds the media. That video of him walking out of a hotel is fantastic.
  12. No absolve him from blame for their appointment is very different to blaming him for not seeing the problem earlier which is what you were previously saying. Yes Lambert appointed them based upon their performance for him previously, that their performance/attitude changed can't really be leveled as a criticism of him in my view as quite clearly he would have appointed them had it been a problem before. Whilst I believe this to an extent (because I believe you) what I can't understand is *why* he wasn't allowed to do anything about it? I mean, just how big were their contracts? Either way, would he/we not have been better off putting them on gardening leave and using Given et al as he did towards the end of last season? Something doesn't add up. Maybe because knowing something was going on isn't the same as proving it? Thats the thing, we don't really have enough facts to know one way or the other. Possibly, why can't he say now though? There was a lot of blame being put his way last season, if it was down to these guys, why not say they were disruptive once they'd gone?
  13. Can't believe this thread is a year old. Flown by.
  14. Well done to him on coming back in and performing so well, he's been excellent every game. It does beg the question what the hell he was doing the few months before hr was exiled, because his performances then were a disgrace. I had no problem with Lambert freezing him out. Him and Warnock looked like they were trying to get sent off.
  15. Stand by for twitter memes when we pick up no points in our next 5 games.
  16. He doesn't want to be here for longer than necessary and that concerns me. He was horrendous for United last season, and has stood out very few times I've watched him. Hopefully he'll be able to improve here before he signs for someone else next summer.
  17. We're 3rd now, let's see where we are by Jan...
  18. We play them at Loftus Road after our run of death. Hope confidence isn't too low and we fcuking smash them into next week.
  19. He was charging out of position to the ball a bit too regularly considering we were defending a one goal lead. Eye for a pass though.
  20. Other players will all be watching SSN today and hearing about his wages. If he signs, players like Delph and Vlaar's demands could go up above the reported £60k we'll pay Clev. Not for me.
