The exact same? No. I can give you some similar players. Tom Cleverley Joe Allen Vurnon Anita Leon Britton James McArthur Liam Bridcutt Westwood is a technically sound Premier League player. He's not Yaya Toure. If anyone thinks he's useless and doesn't belong at Villa in our current state. You do not understand how football works; how it's played, how matches or squads work. I'd query if those questioning him have ever played football at any level, because if you can't appreciate what he does you just don't get it.

What a boob. England depth impressive but Wales were poor. Ireland have looked very good, can't wait for that game in a few weeks. Unsure on Jonny May, ferociously fast, but flits in and out of the match and I didn't like him defensively even before that Italian boffed through him. The question to ask... is it worth sticking with him so he's more prepared for the WC. I think it is but he must improve.

The fact Bacuna can't control the ball means I'm not rushing to give him more starts. He was one of, if not our worst player on Saturday. Controlled it well enough for the goal, so it can't be a fact can it. The ball rolled seven yards dead weight to him? Yeah I'll give you that, he brought that under very well.

Because they (BBC One bosses) have no understanding or interest in the romance of football. Ratings, ratings, ratings. Will these two Premier League teams attract more viewers than Bradford v Fulham? They decided yes, I think neutrals would rather have had Bradford v Fulham than two terrible sides they see on MOTD every week. Of course Sunderland then won at Craven Cottage in the replay, making the decision look very bad indeed.

No one will buy him. Absolutely no one. It was mental to offer him anything more than £30k a week, no one else will give him that. I actually think he'll get some big goals in the coming weeks regardless.

Yeah, they'll all be on BBC or BT Sport. It wasn't actually BBC Sport who chose Villa over Bradford, BBC One waded in and their big bosses have a surprisingly large swing. They're the people who also chose Arsenal v Hull in the Third Round, when BBC Sport wanted to go to some smaller grounds.

He mentioned Villa asked him to come and "present" which is nice. It's not as though we went chasing him begging to him to join. He said something like "Fortunately, they liked what I had to say". So, despite his clear lack of experience, it sounds as though Fox wanted to talk to him and see what he thought of him. Sherwood is an overly confident man and a bit of a dick, but sometimes when people believe their own hype as much as he does, things just come off for them. Hoping the Villa job will be one of them.

I'm a big fan of Westwood but he was shocking today. Be surprised if he starts v Stoke, Sherwood can't have been impressed.

Loads of work to do. We were poor today. Felt a lot like a MON performance actually, mostly crap, but we've come away with a win against a team we are better than. Great celebrations!
