  1. I think you need to watch some of Gabbys 70+ premier league goals.I think you need to watch me lash a ball.
  2. Bouma was poor for a fair while, turned it round in a home game to Chelsea when he marked a then dangerous Shaun Wright-Phillips out of the game. Delaney was quality. Amavi will be up and down, but have a couple of stormers. He'll struggle to be great all season because we're going to take some real tonkings.
  3. Because I have better technique striking a football and I'm not a professional.
  4. Didn't even notice it was old. Logged on and saw it at the top. Had to SAVO.
  5. Real shame. Why are people so certain he'll get no games? He's better all round than Fernando and Fernandinho I'd say, and Toure had a very poor season last year. Pellegrini has a love for 4-4-2, and Fab can get about the park very well for them just giving it to better players. Be funny if it comes out his girlfriend isn't even pregnant, or just doesn't exist

Fantastic news. Tim was wrong to have Zog in ahead of him though, it made no sense, and it could have cost us dearly. (Wah, wah, wah, we stayed up) This thread will continue in the same vein if we play any games next season and Zog is in ahead of him, because he isn't as good. Looking forward to people pretending he's crap because we've scraped 1-0 win he hasn't played in
  7. Some great games, some shite games. Clarke can hopefully start next season well, because at times we really struggled without his calming presence, even when he wasn't in much form. Cheers Ron.
  8. We certainly were good enough and the fact that we didn't prompts all those doubts about the mental weakness of our players, and why. I've always said if Rooney didn't get injured in that Portugal game, we'd have won 2004. He was absolutely flying. Probably a more rounded footballer now, but as an 18-year-old he was so cocky and knew he could score against anyone.
  9. First picture was a shame, he looked a bit of a tit. This one would have got no attention otherwise. Would be proper shit trying to have a holiday and strangers constantly ramming cameras in your face. This will all get brought back up again if he has any dip if form whatsoever next season... which he will, because he's only got about 20 first-team games under his belt.
  10. Early season is the worst time to play promoted clubs, especially away. Prediction: Swansea (H) Bournemouth (A) Man Utd (A)
  11. Gary Cahill, total garbage. Still better than Zat Knight though.
  12. He was bullied and given no support by his team mates. The better a team he plays in, the better he'll be. The way he feeds others is his big strength. Very young English (Irish?) hype style, I would build the side round him for the future. Get him in a role up the top of the pitch where he doesn't have to do any defending as it's pointless for him. He's no good at it and we need him going forward. Obviously to have him and Gil competing for that position would be great, but it looks like that isn't going to happen.
  13. Owens looks like he's getting a push then, brilliant match.

If I was Eddie Howe I'd be bringing him in.
  15. He could be another Di Canio, or he could be a huge success, or somewhere in the middle. Post of the week.
  16. I'm look forward to seeing who we bring in better than Gil.
  17. In what way hasn't he?The same way he's never really earned a Premier League manager position, but here we are. Cheers for keeping us up Tim, incredible work, all the best for next season. A lot of his ethos has been driven by Benteke, I do wonder what the plan is if he goes, it's going to be tough.
  18. Back to more of a 4-4-2 shape today with Jack wide left. We must change this for the final, or we'll get obliterated and be out of it after 25 minutes. The 4-3-2-1 has worked very well, and central to its success has been the midfield three not stepping on each other's toes. Delph and Clev are fit enough to cover plenty of ground offensively and leave Westwood to play, and they can get back and form a decent bank in front of the defence. A return to that system, which we beat Liverpool with, is still possibly too open against a side like Arsenal. We could consider a 4-5-1 for me Hutton at RB, Bacuna and Gab on the wings. Very negative that though, and it means Grealish doesn't start which, doesn't seem fair, he's been excellent recently.

Precious little fannies really made me laugh. Genuine big snorter. Well in It's because he can control and pass the ball, and also... get this... take players on! If you think he's no good, that's fine. There's no need to come in this thread and constantly batter people who are talking about him, and how he should be in ahead of players like Weimann and Zog. He should. If he's been injured the last few games, that's a shame for him and us; quite rare in this day and age it hasn't been reported till after today's game. He was dropped like a stone from the squad initially though, and had a little run out in an U21 game, so there was likely a managerial decision in there for him to go from one of the first names on the team sheet to outside the 18. There's a bit of the Okore about this, I wonder if he comes back next season and starts the season like a train Tim Sherwood will be congratulated on "giving him time"? While others will bellow from the rooftops about how he was always ready?
  20. Angel Di Maria has 9. Stats aren't the same as watching the games. Vardy's been OK, not much more. Shone for Leicester when they've been in the ascendency.

They do and it would be wrong to get rid of Gil bearing in mind the performances he's put in on the pitch. He hasn't shown just potential, he's shown immediate and good results on the pitch. How can he not be worth using? We've not got a strong enough squad to be ignoring assets like Gil. We're at the end of the season with a cup final coming up so it's a different scenario altogether than when Gil got dropped. Would we have seen Zog orGrealish binned off totally from the team for weeks on end if we were still in February? Maybe.
  22. He's a tit, but he knows it, acts up to it and has a laugh with it. His arrogance comes across positively, and seems to be rubbing off well (!) on the team. I think there are times next season we will struggle and he will fall out with some players big time. He's done absolute wonders with the side this year, we are totally unrecognisable.
