  1. Standby by for some serious sour grapes from Tim when he does get the boot. He'll be laying the blame at the door of the chairman, the chief exec, the fans, the scouts. Seriously, everyone except himself. I think teams have seen through him now though, he won't be getting another PL job for a very long time.
  2. This will be over soon. Swansea, a side with no win in six, are going to do us by at least two clear goals at the weekend. Then he can go away and we can get someone in who is actually a professional, not some Sunday league joke.

Agreed. Some stats are too open to interpretation to be used conclusively, this is one. That's why I like to watch players and see how good they are. Gil is very good. Compared to most of our team, he's absolutely brilliant. Do you want N'Zogbia back in the team yet?

Said this is April. Nothing has changed. The only chance we've got is getting rid of Tim.
  5. If it's not a header on goal. You can forget it from Rudy.

He must start tomorrow. We need a win and we're at home.
  7. Just remembered something else funny he said. Talking to McLeish after the Blues game on Sky and he said words to the effect of "I like Clarky, when you look in his eyes, you know what you're going to get." Does he think he's in a film? Like I said earlier on, we've got a decent side now, just not the correct manager. He's a couple of losses away from throwing players under the bus, it'll be before 1st of November he starts saying the players aren't good enough, and they're losers blah blah blah. I'd fupping love a win this weekend though, come on Tim!

Copper Face Jack's was the most vile rammed sweat fest I've ever been in. I think I'd have loved it at 17 or 18, not for me now. So many women in shoes far too high just falling all over the place. They don't even care just a "...**** me..." and they get back up and dance off. Very amusing.
  9. We really need a win. Grealish and Gil **** have to start! Their confidence on the ball is a must for the rest of the side. Putting together a few moves will lift the whole team and those two can do that. A nervy start is asking for trouble. Stoke are so different to a few years ago in that they have no spine but a lot of flair around the edges. We can dominate them with some confidence on the ball.
  10. You've got him down as -7 then? Much more of a -5, pushing a -6 for me. Thanks Andy.
  11. But he's not as good as Westwood (yet) Agreed. I mean in the midfield positionally. I'd have Westwood sitting, with Gana and Veretout more forward thinking. I'd have Westwood sitting on the bench and Sanchez, Gana and Veretout in the middle You know what... If that's the case, I wouldn't mind too much. I'm just fed up of Westwood and Sanchez getting in each other's way. they are not the most dynamic pairing are they......... Certainly not! It's also unfair on Westwood to be asking him to motor up and down the pitch like Delph used to. Even if you don't rate him, playing someone out of position isn't going to help them improve.

But where and how did you hear it? I was working on the show.
  15. If we don't have a disaster of a season, I can honestly see him making the squad for the Euros. He's totally unique in his style. Not a chance of much playing time though with Rooney a cert to start, probably in the position Jack excels in.

Sadly not a wind up. Gil was brought up by Gus Poyet, who he was on with, asking why he wasn't playing.
  17. Him and Gana in front of Westwood is how I'd go against Stoke. Gil and Grealish off Rudy.
  18. He'll be fine if you let him play his position. He isn't Fabian Delph and is being instructed to perform that role.

That would be hilarious, and devastating for our side. And very Tim. Ray Wilkins appeared on ITV before the Leicester game. Off-air he said he doesn't rate Gil. "Takes 15 touches when he needs two.", "Will never score. Will never get the assists he should." and "a very poor man's Spanish midfielder" were some of the golden nuggets to come out of his mouth. Fingers crossed Tim doesn't share this view, but you'd imagine he'd have similar opinions to his assistant manager.
  20. Haven't been on here too much since Leicester game, been too annoyed. I'll probably be making points that people have already viciously debunked. Tim Sherwood is Paolo Di Canio. We are in trouble if he stays here. The Lambert shambles has scarred me no doubt. I was with him for so long, thinking we'd get better, but it was never for more than about two games. Focusing on Tim though, he doesn't do it for me. He kept us up last season, but we literally could not get any worse. Feather in his cap was beating Liverpool. They were a shambles by that point; they lost 3-1 home to Palace and 6-1 at Stoke after our match. Leicester: Being totally dominated and pinch a great goal on the break. He brings off a midfielder and goes...4-2-4?! He then brings off Gabby, who we'd just seen is useful on the break for Gestede, so that's taking away a winger for a proper centre forwards leaving the midfield with even more work to do. Behaves like a child post-match. WBA: Game stank of 1-0 West Brom from the off. We are hideously narrow. Spend the second half booting the ball to Gestede (note - not crossing it). Blues: Scrape a win with a good goal having being outplayed first half. Decides he needs to cover himself and stands there with a straight face saying it was his plan to... let them get at us? Brought Grealish on, who won us the game. Maybe he didn't want to win it by too much so left him on the bench. Incidentally, I can absolutely believe the story about the team being leaked, all he does is talk to journalists to get pally with them so they don't slate him when he says stoopid stuff like we planned to let the team from the division below get the better of us first half, then surprise them second. Liverpool: Two poor sides. That Liverpool team was so nervous, we could have had a lot more success. Gestede scores from crosses, we know this, why do we have no width going forwards? All our width comes from fullbacks, if we had some more spread across the front players, Gestede would be causing mayhem every time the ball is in the channel. We are so narrow and don't get the ball into the area anywhere near enough from a touchline position. Stop playing Bacuna anywhere near the middle of the pitch. Stop playing Westwood and Sanchez in the same midfield, they want to stand in the same position, how can he not see this? Milner goal is from those two trying to not cover the same spot. Westwood being forced into a role that he's painfully unsuited to. Gil should be playing anytime he can walk. I think we've now got the makings of a good side, but I do not trust the man leading them at all. Stoke game huge bearing in mind what comes after... Chelsea, Swansea, Saints (cup), Tottenham, City, Everton.
  21. For some reason he's being asked to play the role Delph was last year pushing forward with the ball. That's not his game and he's no good at it. For the last month he's had Clark and mostly Sanchez getting in his way. Crap, crap, crap corners. Grealish took some last year that were great, and didn't Amavi have some pre-season? They need pace.
  22. As long as bull like that gets gobbled up he will continue to spout it. I think we should play well for 90 mins and we'll get better results than 2-2 home to Sunderland and 2-3 at Leicester. Liverpool been a decent hunting ground for us in the last few years, hopefully we can play on their lack of form.
  23. And so says their dad. I disagree with Abedi.
  24. So so good. Get him on the pitch, and give him options, he will create chances if he has movement around him.
  25. Garbage for 85% of the match Won it for us with a header, then improved. Needs to contribute more, he looks very labored, is he carrying an injury?
