  1. Back three is an option, but it's something that needs coaching. So sick of us looking like a team who have never met each other, no one knows where to be, no fluidity - You cannot just dive in to a back three without a lot of work. I wonder if we'll see Kodj back out wide left with Hogan through the middle. We need to get some play going in the middle of the pitch for sure.
  2. He'll be under pressure if we don't start performing soon. We've got a Championship dream team... aside from the back 5! He's just bought 7 players in January who could conceivably start most games. We aren't going to go up this year but show us something Steve, jeez. Show Tony that you're worth giving even more money to.
  3. He's a real all-rounder as a forward. More of a brain than Kodj.
  4. Certainly for the best that he moves on. Hope he improves like Lowton has done. Wonder how long the same faces will keep showing up once this moves to Other Football
  5. God, I'm going to be unbearable positive if we win. Lose or draw and it's likely a let's let the team settle in a bit shall we.
  6. Nice to see fans uniting over this. You can't sell Jack at this point.
  7. No more selfishness from him when he gets back please. Cost us far too many points this season through refusing to pass.
  8. He was 99, so he's gone down to 98, then back up!
  9. No chance he'll reach their level, no. But I hope he doesn't look the disaster area he's been for so long. I think he's better than that.
  10. I'm looking forward to him getting a few minutes somewhere down the line in a team that doesn't look terrified. He could recover somewhat I think. A better footballer than Gary Gardner for example; he'd be more useful to keep around than him IMO. He's been with us the entire way through the worst period of the last 25 years. And we've been an absolute match made in hell. He's been crap for us, and we've broken him. No confidence, worse technique than when he was 22, awful, awful, awful. One thing most disagree with is that he hides away on the pitch. I think he usually tries to do the right thing and show, and get something going. Sadly, it generally goes wrong for him, just like everything else with Aston Villa in the last few years. Overall, it's probably best if he moves on, and tries to make it elsewhere.
  11. Haha, bang. The ball is a third of the way over the line.
  12. This is like we've rounded the keeper and are jogging towards an empty net. Some are celebrating but it feels like we can't all unite until the forward actually rolls the ball in.
  13. Not seen him for a few years but he worked very very hard in Italy. Quality isn't all that, but we're shit so I'm happy. We need a massive change in squad attitude, so players like this will be welcomed by me.
  14. I'd take him back tomorrow if Richards got released with no pay-off.
  15. Jealous. Great place. You'll wonder how we can have been so shit over the last few years.
  16. Testosterone suppressant for his new barnet has wrecked the latter stages of his career. He was never Messi/Ronaldo, but he was comfortably top 10 forwards in the world for the most of his career. Being undroppable for England, despite hideous form, hasn't helped him in my eyes. Many will not remember how good he was.
  17. He's got more of a task than he realised but I'm not sure he sees exactly what's wrong. You cannot have the likes of Richards, Gabby and now sadly it seems, McCormack training with the whole team every day. Let alone in the squad. Let alone bloody starting! They need to be totally cast aside, it's the only way. The lack of effort, professionalism, seeing that you can get away with not trying... it all spreads. Grealish, Bacuna, who's to say Andre Green isn't next? Hey look, your wages still came in this month, and you were garbage. And you've fallen out of the team anyway. Why not go out? Why not spend four nights a week spending thousands on champagne and women? He's brought Gab back, and now Richards. I don't like it. He's taking McCormack on so that's a positive sign. Hopefully getting in some serious 100% starters like Lansbury and Hourihane can change the culture of the team. Effort and application is required here. Although Lansbury has been a huge drinker in the past, so fingers crossed he doesn't get dragged out on one of the lads' benders.
  18. Delighted if we get him. It will transform our team having two midfielders who haven't yet been infected by AstonVillaBillyBigBollockitis. Can't believe the likes of Swansea/Sunderland/Hull aren't in for him.
  19. Veretout is good. Hope he comes back.
  20. If I'm the Barnsley chairman, no way I'm accepting less than £2.5m for Hourihane after we've just bought Lansbury. Better and younger!
  21. I think there's a hint of old man not understanding social media properly in there as well. I'm sure he meant no disrespect, but he shouldn't be breaking things like that before the family has given the nod.
