  1. The move from Grealish from 10 to left mid killed us. Hogan was pants though.
  2. I would because I think he'd get this good team playing some football. His problem is trying to play beyond his means in the Prem, and at Derby to an extent. Here, we should be top 2. Swansea fans and players weren't totally against him I don't think.
  3. The team is there! The manager isn't. We can still go up automatically if this clown is shown the door.
  4. Just hope he watches us v teams like Sheff U and Brentford who have no budget and wonders why they look so much more organised and keep the ball off us. Take action ASAP Doc.
  5. Our best player by a mile. And he wasn't even that good. Only man who looks to get hold of it and do something, anything. Shifted out the left mid for his trouble. Still drifted around and was most influential. Never had any options, no movement ahead of him.
  6. Not enough time to have any proper impact. He needs at least 12 months plus ideally around £20m to spend. Also he has no Premier League experience.
  7. He is a DM. A creative, driving one. And Bruce has played him as a 10 and a striker. There must be some clause that says he starts every game. What a shame.
  8. An average manager would have this team on more than Bruce. I'd have happily seen him go in the summer. We've seen you don't need much time to change a team that much, especially in this league. We can still do it with the right man. But the time to send him packing, once we'd let him stay thru the summer, was the end of Sept.
  9. Derby a tough match, but we should be beating a sinking Sheff Utd at home. He should be under a lot of pressure yes.
  10. Goodness me. Are you saying it's impossible to get our team passing the ball? Pep would certainly have us attempting to if you're wondering. And do you know what? We'd be doing it better than most others in the league as well. Because we have the best, if not second best squad. Easily. Doesn't have to be Pep though, (I think he's busy winning umpteen league titles in a row with Man City) at least half the managers in this league would be doing a better job. They'd be trying to play ball, and this talented squad would be doing it. We might get a few less draws away from home, but we'd have a hell of a lot more wins and goals across the board. I don't know what Bruce is trying to do aside from stifle us. Sadly, neither does he. He's done at this level of championship promotion candidates, and the next time he gets a job without incredible backing he will fall flat on his face.
  11. Agreed, and if we do stumble up through the play-offs, it's essential Bruce is moved on once the week's celebrations are over. He'll cry and whinge but can go off to his media pals for a few months and laugh about how silly Villa for sacking him.
  12. I'd have less complaints if we'd played some football and attacked in a way that doesn't leave a full back lofting in a cross to no one every single attack. Instead of look like turd again, and cling on to a 0-0 at home vs a team who will be pleased to stay in the division this season. Jesus, what I'd give for an exciting 3-3 at this point. Obviously comfortable 2/3-0s are the dream, but I'd bite your arm off to just not be bored watching us. In answer to your question though, I'd imagine so yes. Unless that bad performance without a win comes off the back of a load of competent, good performances, of which we've had very few this season in my opinion.
  13. This is the most damning I can be of Bruce... Tim Sherwood would be doing better with this squad at the moment. Shameful and embarrassing.
  14. Credit to you for such a positive outlook. Nice to get a point in a game we're so poor in. Switch Nuno and Bruce, we'd be loads better off, Wolves would tank. Switch Wilder and Bruce, we'd be loads better off, Blades would tank. Switch bloody Warnock and Bruce, we'd improve and Cardiff wouldn't. Sincerely hope we make it up through the playoffs and we part ways pleasantly.
  15. Well... was RDM not sorting out TS, RG, PL AMcL's mess? Round and round we go. Don't forget Bruce had that run of form after Xmas first season... But, it's OK, with a full pre-season he then started this season like this. All that serving up vile football, with our POTY Adomah out the squad. He's been given big leeway and looks to be turning it round which is good. Hopefully our football can continue to become a better to watch as well - this crazy form can't continue without dominating more games like Ipswich.
  16. We're playing outside the top flight, with a ridiculously expensive squad. No Villa manager has ever had that before.
  17. I've still not decided if it's intentional or he's just so blasé towards the press that this guff just tumbles out of his mouth and he invents it as he goes.
  18. Not having this. Sheff Utd don't have a super agent. Preston/Brentford/Bristol City don't. They all try to play and have hardly any resources comparatively. You put the manager of any of those clubs in charge of this squad from the first weekend of the season and we would look a different side. Bet we'd have more points from attacking some teams as well. Bruce doesn't even try to play. No amount of time we give him will change this. If we do sludge our way up to the Prem, he still has to go in the summer.
  19. Harsh to say no loss. He does need to look for more passes though.
  20. I know right. Hope he leaves very soon.
