  1. Priorities for Bruce every single time he speaks to any member of the press. Whether midweek or pre/post match. #1 Self-preservation. Levels of truth irrelevant. #2 Everything else.
  2. They've been trialling it for the Premier League for two years. Not sure why it's quite as clunky as it is.

They won't collapse. They play football and are there on merit. They don't chance it by setting up defensively and hoping individuals will nick them a goal. Be great to try that. Sigh.
  4. Interesting to hear. No doubt he'll already have a sound defensive ideology burned into his brain to fall back on from him time with Sam. If he can continue to work on both sides of the game, he'll go far. Such a challenge managing young current players in the top flight now though. It's why clubs go for the likes of O'Neill and Pardew ahead of young coaches; there's a fear of the new men coming in and making no impact as the millionaire 19-year-olds don't want to do something new they've not tried before.
  5. The consistent damage still having him here is significant for me. Every player we bring in, either from the youth, or from another side, sees this total waster pissing about on miles more money than them. He has no interest in helping the first team, he has no interest in playing football for anyone until his contract is up. Sends the wrong message, especially for young players. People talk about paying his contract up making no sense, it would have been worth it. Or. He should have been made to train alone, away from the first team squad, ideally away from the reserves as well. Where his mere presence can do no damage.
  6. Charlie Wyke from Bradford would be worth a look. Well rounded "big man" who could play on his own up front if needs be.
  7. Yes. Stifles all creativity. Adds nothing positive. State of the squad ffs. It's a dream team in this league, and just look at us. Look what we serve up. Robins result an anomaly.
  8. Crap. I'm consoling myself with that feeling when you're looking forward to a holiday for ages. I cannot wait for the day he leaves. I'm excited to see us play some football. He'll leave at the end of the season with a juicy payoff after we've fallen short.
  9. It's not about him going "yes, smash it." It's him not laying out a clear plan, and allowing the team to have options in the system he sets up. Indecision and hesitation leads to hoof. He focuses primarily on defence with his selections, and I was very unsure on his coaches when he first came in, particularly Clemence. I hope to see a lot more of that sort of play for the rest of the season.
  10. If he was fit, he would have started.
  11. What a start to 2018! Brilliant. Now attack some teams like we should have been all season and you'll win some more matches Steve. Also, don't dig the fans out after a run of form like that ever again.
  12. Usual excellent performance from him. Had some options to go to for a change instead of being the only man who ever wants the ball.
  13. Just read about Nick Powell. Loads of ability, but had a stinking attitude for years. A good 6 months at Wigan shouldn't be enough to earn a move here. Especially with the likes of Micah and Gabby only too keen to lead these players astray. Not sure.
  14. Bruce doesn't deserve him. How could he drop him for Onomah of all people? Hopefully we can shift Steve on before Grealish is wanted in the Prem.
  15. He's an absolute car crash. What stick is he even getting? Fans boo at half-time when we're down, and full time when we've lost. And when Glen Whelan stops an attack by pinging the ball 60 yards backwards when we're on the edge of the opponent's area. He should see what McLeish got towards the end. In fact, I hope he does, then he can have a moan about hysterics. Pompous bell. Clearly doesn't know what he's doing. Dropping Grealish for Onomah ffs. Fluked it again with Onomah injury. Great win. Get out of my club you bad bad manager.
  16. Because we've spent a fortune and have some absolutely excellent individual players. Bruce gives nothing. All he does is take away by setting the side up so negatively. That's the main reason I want him gone. I think we'd be better with no manager than with this one.
  17. Oh, you just wait. He'll whinge and lie and his buds in the media will tell him he's right and how harshly he's been treated.
  18. They enjoy their back slapping meetings and each others' company too much. Old school is pro old school.
  19. Yes he can. Sadly, I think he will. I don't think Wyness and Round will have thought about a potential replacement at all.
  20. They'll fall away. Their manager hasn't even got Championship experience.
  21. They are both well ahead of Bruce. Sam is far superior in every way. Pulis at least has a specific way of playing that he will try to implement. He's been very good at it. Bruce is more comparable to an Alan Curbishly who the game has moved on from. I wouldn't want Curbs here.
