  1. This is funny, and I've thought about it before. Same with a back 3 not working and he kept trying it. And dropping Onomah, which fans were saying. And not playing Jedinak at the back, which he was incredibly still planning to do after the Sheff U errors. Agnew being released from gardening leave has sorted us right out. Lucky that happened!
  2. Not to disturb the loose tonnes of snow... David O'Leary classic move that. Very visible and vocal when on top. Good to have him urging the team forward though yes.
  3. Well... He said it yes. But he'd hardly played him the season before or the current preseason in any sort of meaningful role. Delighted Jacko has risen above and beyond. Usual stuff from him though. Been turning these performances in for two years. Nice the general play has allowed him to make an impact now. An excellent footballer.
  4. After Villa he will never have a decent job again. He's done. What we're doing now what we should've been doing since August 2016.
  5. Ah yes, when he hadn't played him in any sort of system and we were getting passed to bits by teams from league 2. A lucky liar with a fantastic squad.
  6. What a coach Steve Agnew is. Bruce I'll take or leave thanks. Clear who makes the difference at Villa. Excellent excellent stuff.
  7. He's divided himself from the fans, it'll take a while and football a hell of a lot better than what he's offered to get me back on side. If we get promoted, and he stays. He'll be exactly the same. "I've had no money, I'm great, I got the club promoted with no money, I've only been here 3 months, we're only Aston Villa how can we be expected to not lose 3-0 at home to Brighton". Your great optimism is why we deserve a hero. Not Steve Bruce. Agnew can stay.
  8. In terms of "hero" I was thinking more of someone who would unite the club. Lead us on to a new era. Not someone who criticises fans who consistently give him one of the highest home attendances in the league, and the best away following in the country. If we absolutely fly from now until the end of the season I suppose yes. I'd love an enjoyable run in. I'd love some enjoyable football. But getting us up was the minimum requirement and I think he's going to fail. Even with all the resources he's had. I'm going to grind my teeth to dust when the the form dips and he starts up his excuses again. Whether the season ends 6th May or 26th, I hope he's shown the door soon after.

No chance they can sack him. What will they do if Salah does it next week. Football has no morals.
  10. Do you think he's had it hard compared to other managers in the league? I don't. Having the funds to sign Terry, Whelan, Taylor, Hogan. Top quality on huge wages. There was a chance to be a hero here. We were ready made with a loaded chairman and good fanbase. But the football produced has been horrible and he's cried about people having a go at him when he's added some truly woeful spells of form to that putrid play. I posted last season about the need for a decent coach and it looks like Agnew has helped us so far. What the hell have we being doing in training the last 18 months? What has Bruce been presiding over? It's a poor showing to leave us exposed if his whole plan revolved around hoping to eventually get this one man in. Something to do with gardening leave wasn't it? Good job Karanka finally found a job then!
  11. Chat has moved on slightly now but Lambert did a much better than Bruce has managed thus far. Bruce has had a better squad in the division below and produced garbage football for the most part. He's had more money for wages than Lambert and we've sludged our way to many of our good results. The whole experience watching him deflect desperately at every turn has been most unpleasant. I'm excited for him leaving.
  12. Those noises are a real pain to fix when they stop working as well.
  13. He played there to much praise at Forest as well. Be nice if we can get a fee for him.
  14. He is such an odd player. Excellent last 30 mins tonight. Unrecognisable.

Brilliant he got a start after they've just signed a 12m winger. Had a bit of a rotter with West Ham's opener. Bags a worldie to get them back into it. Fantastic Joe.
  17. Twan-zay-be? Going off Bruce's previous with Onomah, this lad could find himself as a lone front man soon. Would love Ulloa. He really would be a great signing.
  18. And Whelan. And Taylor. They'll be on at least £70k between them.
  19. Excellent point bringing up this clown. Bruce is doing exactly the same deflection. His journo pals will definitely be out defending him when we fail. "Mad foreign owner" I'm sure will be circulated as well.
  20. Can't risk him at his age. Rest up and get 100% for the run in.
  21. It's almost as though he's been incredibly well backed but is saying he hasn't so he can't be blamed when we don't go up.
  22. But he's has to beg, steal and borrow? How can he have made so many signings?
  23. I agree but it is very hard for the fans to get going watching Bruce's dross. Hopefully we'll see a change in attitude in the coming games.
