I'm hoping to see Hourihane support Grealish's attacking intent this weekend, but I do think most of his responsibility is going to be defensive. Bruce won't be changing tactic of a lifetime.

Coaching team need be sensible here. With extra time possible we cannot have someone half fit who we may need to replace due to fatigue. If he's fit, great, he should probably start. If he's not, not in the 18.

We are in the Championship with a better squad than the one we had in our final PL season. It's a miracle we haven't controlled 70% of our games this season and gone up automatically. If we don't go up and Grealish leaves, we'll finish midtable under this manager. I think Bruce's focus on solidity would suit us better in the PL funnily enough.

I'd usually be the same with Villa yes. And yes, if you guarantee me we'll win every game 1-0, I'd take real pride in whatever football we're playing and the fact no one could stop us. I saw this season as a real chance to try and be more expansive though. We had the squad to win the league and have got to the playoff final without looking much good most of the time IMO. If we go to the PL, it's all a different kettle of fish. We won't be in a position to try anything other than grind results out, which is why I wanted this season to be different.

He took a pot shot because Snodgrass was down. Rather than kick it out, he had a dig to try and get a corner, or score. I like watching him, a smart player.

In my lifetime, there's never been a gap this big between one player and the rest of the squad. Unreal footballer. Destined for the top. Hopefully he takes us with him. -
Are you kids all trading from the same wallet, or do you have multiple ones that deal with your preferred currencies? Want to get involved but can't be bothered managing multiple wallets, hoping there's a decent one that can purchase a nice variety of stuff?

Agreed. And the attacking football largely comes solely when Jack Grealish turns it on, not from the manager. This was our one chance to have a truly dominant season. The only way we'll have this shot again is if we start a mid-00s WBA yo-yo. If we don't go up, next year will be a different kettle of fish. Funnily enough, one that might suit a more Bruce-like cautious approach. But no way could I stomach another 12 months of him whinging about hysteria when the side he's in control of is underperforming.

We're about to enter an era of dominance I don't think England has seen for a while. All hinges how long Pep stays for. If he stays for the next five years, I think they'll win the next 5 league titles and similar to this year it won't be close.
