I wouldn't be OK with it. I'm sure I'd be gutted walking back down Wembley way listening to other fans celebrate. But if we play some football this season I'll definitely enjoy the ride there loads more. Can't deal with watching us look like the players have never met. Need to get someone that Jack can pass to.

Looks like he could be getting what feels like a few bonus players into the squad. Couldn't have imagined that 6 weeks ago. Hope he's not too stubborn going forward with whatever this Mendes thing is. If good players are being offered, he should take them on, not turn his nose up. Don't want another O'Neil type scenario where recruitment became detrimental to the progress of the side. Having said all that, owning the players and using them properly are very different things. Already a season behind on promotion that should have been comfortable. If we can find someone for Grealish to pass to, that'll be a big step forward. Woodburn could hopefully be that man.

I think Hugill would be useful! Suppose it's important to see what's happened to him having gone from one of the first names on the team sheet to hardly making the bench at Wham from Jan onwards.

It can hopefully start with some tactics and passing of the football from the first XI. We've got an easy start this time round so can hopefully get a head of steam up.

A good player who comfortably looked PL quality last season in a side passing and using the ball. Under this manager, he'd learn soon enough what to do when he's got zero options other than aimless clip forward. Game of opinion. 80% of our football under him was dire. Absolute dross. We won matches because we had the best players in the league. Yes, last minute winners are always fun, as is walloping top of the league. But watching games slip away from the very first minute is torture. How we didn't get up is incredible. A remarkable feat of strangling from a bad bad manager.

I agree he is! Makes the whining even more galling. It's like he sits with Alex Bruce going through twitter and being outraged. Always had good support at every match despite underperforming.

Maybe the return to form of Grealish would be more apt then. The great run we had was the first time he ever used him. In 16/17 Bruce only played Grealish in four full league matches. Four! For the best player in the league who is probably going to be playing Champions League football next season.
