The strength of our opposition is going to hurt us a lot. Bruce wasted an open goal opening to the season. We've played all the bottom sides already and now have to implement a new style playing against the top sides. Players' belief in trying something different is so important in a change like this so Deano really has his work cut out.

Loads to improve on going forward I think. Personnel is there, but clearing the Bruce skidmarks from the system will take time. Once we start moving the ball round more comfortably, Grealish will get more space instead of having 4 men on top of him waiting to foul him. -

This league is terrible, we can definitely go up. If we had a competent manager from the start of the season I think we'd be top three/four now. Possibly 6th with a win at Norwich.

If he stays for 10 years, they will win 10 titles in a row. They may lose the odd game here and there but they obliterate everyone else. It may get like the end of Bayern where he starts playing proper reserves in the league to go for the Champions League win. Wouldn't be surprised to see them go undefeated at some point in the next three seasons. -
Tommy Johnson. Memories. I remember him up front more often than not, but I was young, he may have never played there. I remember a game against Spurs (I think) at home. In the first few minutes he won two big tackles right up near their box winning us throws, crowd gave it loads. He then had an absolute shocker and got hauled off. --- Very excited to tomorrow. In reality, I can't believe much will change for the first few games. He's only had 3 days in the job, maybe 2 with a full squad. And the games come thick and fast! Oh for an early goal tomorrow.

I remember his debut where he was lively and doing mad things our players, bar Grealish, never do. Real revolutionary stuff like... Moving for a throw and giving it back to the thrower Playing 1-2s Receiving the ball from someone deeper than him, turning around, and going forwards It was enjoyable.

Yes, in the division below what everyone else had been playing in. With a team that should have been nowhere lower than 6th at any point. If Smith doesn't match that, I still bet it's more watchable than Bruce's filth.
