Really happy memories of watching it at uni over a decade ago. Adopting teams/players for no reason and checking betting slips.
Now it's ridiculous. They've clearly been told to shout a lot and make their game sound exciting. They just bellow any time the ball is in the box.
And the clichés. My God. The old, past it, irrelevant clichés.
I don't think he was great, nor man of the match.
Played his role well in a dominant performance but he had options flying at him from everywhere. I want to see him be brave on Friday and positive in possession when under pressure.
Still question marks for me. Huge credit to him for racking up very valuable goals and assists so consistently for us.
Tried this on a few different browsers and it doesn't seem to work, gets all the way through to entering the captcha and that link dies. Tried through a VPN as well. Am I doing something wrong
Surprised, I think he's limited. About to turn 31, never a good age for a winger.
With our style now I suppose he may get plenty of opportunities to cause trouble.
Needs to be replaced. I'm still too scared of him coming for crosses, and even stopping shots on goal. Heaton for example would be the solid base we need.
But I will say that he's absolutely excellent with his feet. Really comfortable and no issues with short or long passing off either foot.
He'll get plenty of leeway from me if we continue to be a joy to watch.
Bruce played rancid stuff and when it became clear that wasn't going to change, every match that wasn't a win became a waste of time. Even the wins were a drag. Dull, percentage football. Watching us sit back at home from the off and wait for errors, leading to draw after draw with teams we should have been putting away by half-time.
Sometimes you have to concentrate on what he's doing and how difficult it is. It's easy to not appreciate him float along with the ball 30 yards up the pitch strolling past their players. He's so good at it, does it all the time and makes it look easy.
Progresses our play more than anyone else.
He goes to attack but he definitely had an strong idea of how to combat our opponents' strengths.
Look how many short corners we played yesterday to stop them just nodding it away.
Bruce got given plenty of credit he didn't earn because many were looking for reasons to be positive. We were crap before him and still crap with him, and fans were desperately trying to see light at the end of the tunnel.
No more dinosaur chat in this great man's thread please.
You'll get tiresome after bad results, but for now it's adding to the enjoyment of watching us tear teams apart and not have the manager tell us how lucky we are to have him.
