    What the hell is wrong with him? Why does he have to look at defenders when he's running over to challenge for a header/long ball? Why does he make his over there so slowly? How can his technique be this bad? Years left on 40k a week. Jesus Christ.

    Crap day. Forget everything else, I'm so frustrated he's played McGinn for 90 mins. Can't believe it. He's vital if we're to scrape anything from this season and he's shattered. Been doing the running for three men every game for about a month.

    Semi-interestingly, it did look in on the normal replay. I didn't see the normal touchline camera that they often show. Those goal-line tech replays can be incorrect if the calibration is even a few millimetres out. Maybe it was shown later on and I missed it.

    If he does get on, it's up to Callum to put a bit of pressure on the manager and make it impossible to leave him out of Championship squads. The crowd will be with him big time.

    I think they'll fall away. In the meantime he can take points off others with them. Funny how he's playing the exact deep role we keep struggling to find anyone to do properly every game though

    Bit wary until we know it's same guy. Don't remember him ever doing players going out. Looks like that new one gone now actually. It's a shame if he's gone but it's probably not great for the club to have people leaking moves.

    I'd still start him over Taylor if we don't sign a left back, but I think we will. Interested to see if big Hause gets a run out there in the meantime.

    If they had any sort of bid accepted I think he'd go. Wouldn't blame him even if we were top I'm afraid. Top-half PL side who play good football and will be investing more in the side. They're on the up big time. He'll be straight into the England squad if he goes there. Ambitious lad is Tammy. I think we are as well, but without knowing where we'll start next season he's not got the ties to us to gamble we'll go up, and than be happy to buy him straight away.

    I think John and his magic arse would fill that defensive role well. Whelan, McGinn and Grealish as a midfield three is strong enough to get to the play-offs I think. Plenty of issues elsewhere though.

    Nick Powell would be such good signing. With everyone fully fit I still think he'd start for us.

    Bruce's whole period in charge was a disgrace. The longer we stay here, the more insane the resources he had available to him will look. I can't believe how quickly Smith has turned us into a football team. The points return he got picking up off Bruce's mess is fantastic. And it's for that reason I think he's canny enough to get wins against Preston and QPR. If we can secure a play-off spot, we can get up this season. I want Smith to be in charge of building a PL squad.

    He plays for Forest now. The coach guy is strength and conditioning chap I think.

    Medical man on twitter says Hause to be done then. Hopefully not too much expenditure on a backup centre half with little experience. Good to get men in positions we need though.

    Four points dropped the last two games. Deano has to find a way to get wins in games like that I'm afraid.

    I'm interested in Villa winning matches, not Conor Hourihane finishing every season with 10 goals and 10 assists.

    I would be more worried if Smith was lying and saying we were playing well when we aren't. He knows it's not good enough. The only weakness with him for me so far is he takes his time making subs when we need changes on the pitch. I don't think he trusts quite a few of the players which is maybe why he leaves it so long when the team is struggling. Hope he gets reinforcements to work with in Jan. I think Kalinić and Elphick will both start new years day.

    By putting 10 behind the ball and hoping Snodgrass, Grealish or Kodj could produce magic. Zero interest in watching us do that in the Championship.

    They all just copy each other to get clicks. Not to say there's nothing in it, but as soon as someone publishes a story, they all copy it to not be left behind. Hope it comes off.
