A good one would improve us so much. Veretout in that role would be incredible. If only we'd got Smith when we first came down. -

What we need to do is stop signing players up on stupid wages. Hogan coming from Brentford would have been begging to sign for us. And we chuck £40k a week at him! Now we're stuck with him. He was probably on about £10-15k at Brentford. No way he'd have turned down £25k, at Villa! It's a huge step up for most players coming here, so if we get them from Champ/L1/L2/abroad even, stop paying silly wages for unproven players.- 4,905 replies

His diamond system will fit in well with their squad I think. They've got such strength in midfield, and decent forwards. Could see McClean being converted to a left back soon.

Been injured for more than half his time there. And in the meantime Ronan Curtis who plays in his position has been their best player. He can't be worse than Adomah.

Hmm yes, worryingly positive appointment for Stoke. They were excellent at VP and have the team to go up automatically.

When Udinese and Watford first linked up, Udinese were definitely the bigger club, but the potential for Watford, purely through being in the English league was always there. Our ceiling is higher than Copenhagen's despite them appearing in the Champions League a few times in the last few years. In conclusion, give us all yer best Scandis.

He's a funny one Pavard, I've seen him have plenty of average matches where he'd hardly stand out in our team. World Cup helped him a lot. And also being 22! Blimey, didn't know he was that young. Fee makes a bit more sense now.

Didn't realise he was that old! 35 next week. His canal boat like movement makes much more sense. I don't know why I thought he was 31/32. Out of contract at the end of the season? Definitely will be moved on whenever it ends. Knows the right thing to do, just physically can't do it any more. He tires after 35 mins though and sometimes plays conservatively to protect himself instead of doing what's needed for the team.

There's an element of attention seeking from both, but that's a key part of being on social media as well. They both work hard on the pitch for me, so if they keep doing that they can do whatever they want on the internet where stuff doesn't matter.

Both. If no statement is going to be made what's going on he shouldn't be putting out vague things like that even on a personal platform for me. It's not really a properly personal platform for them either, most footballers use their various accounts for sponsorship purposes, including Tammy. The kids communicate a vast majority of stuff on social media though. Too much I think. But I'm old. So are you.

Bruce will be annoyed he didn't hang around for another few weeks and get that job instead. Stoke and Leeds best I've seen play us at VP this season, surprised they're so far down the table. Probably what Boro and Derby think when they see where we are! Hopefully they "do a Villa" replacing their manager first season down and consign themselves to another few years in the football league.
