  1. It was a classic Brexit style strawman argument. The point was Bruce did the Bolasie deal. She tried to claim it was Purslow who wasn't even at the club at the time. Then when proved wrong just kept going on about who Bolasie's agent was. Irrelevant but she made it about that to try and win a small battle when the point was her dinosaur dad's dealings.
  2. If he doesn't they certainly spend a lot of time on there arguing about him. Have you read the exchange? Maybe they're doing it off their own back. Got to make sure they pick up their fortune of payoffs when inheritance time comes round. Alex Bruce on there a few weeks ago talking about figures and wages of specific Villa players. He's not unaware of them on there. He can't be because it's [online] clearly where he got all his ramblings about fans on his back when there hadn't been any stick at games to speak of.
  3. Keeping up appearances. Trying to get her dad out of more villa failure by muddying waters. Sad the way he sends his kids round twitter.
  4. He did this against Leeds as well. Just before Elmo cost us the point. Want to succeed, so tries hard. Not an alien concept, but you wouldn't know it watching most of our team.
  5. Plenty of actual news outlets will soon be reporting classy gestures soon.
  6. Jack absolutely. Wigan, probably. Too many were off that day. We might have got two wins out of the Preston/QPR/Hull matches though.
  7. Probably not no, but his injury has taken the steam out of the run we were on. We'd built up some nice momentum and since he's left the side, there's no one bringing the ball forward and opening space up.
  8. Possible. Xia/RDM/Bruce won't be here to see the fruits of their labour.
  9. I can't believe how many players we're going to need in the summer. Plenty of chat that promotions doesn't matter but man would it help us out with setting up the squad for the future.
  10. A win isn't enough. This is the sort of match Bruce used to win 1-0 then talk about shutting fans up. A statement is needed to give fans encouragement and players confidence. A big fat 3-0 or 4-1 statement.
  11. He's watching England play cricket in the West Indies on a jolly.
  12. We may have asked anyway, but I think he could've been useful to keep if we were paying £20-40k. We've rehabbed him nicely for someone else if he does come back down to the Championship.
  13. Wowee. He was unfit, made bad decisions, and his pace looks like it's gone permanently. Correct decision if we save £70k a week. FWIW I very rarely thought Bolasie lacked effort though. In matches I've seen his work levels were good, and his understanding wasn't. He challenged for headers and 50/50s El Ghazi/Hourihane/Elmo wouldn't be interested in. He couldn't figure out when were good times to close people down though, even with Tammy telling him exactly when that was. Then he got tired on about 60 mins anyway. A key man in the great early form we showed under Smith. Plus a lot of fun to watch.
  14. They could be in a lot of trouble paying for this stadium even if Pocc stays. City and Liverpool are going to be taking up a UCL spot each this season and you'd think at least next 2 or 3. Can they beat two of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U?
  15. We need to be in for him. He'll be moving back down to the PL in 18 months for £10m
  16. Hopefully couple of moves this week because time is running out. Be great to get at least one starter quality in to lift the crowd in the first of two must wins.
  17. He wasn't for me. Bruce was given a golden chance to do whatever he wanted. He went for a load of short term loans and stuck Taylor/Lansbury/Hogan/Hourihane/Bjarnson all on £25k-£40k. Then tore our defence apart and would have took us down this season. Depends what recruitment is like this summer. I'm very excited at the thought of going into next season with a capable manager playing attacking football.
  18. He made a rod for his own back with some outrageous early results. Honestly unbelievable the points we accumulated and the football we played when he had to pick the team off the floor after Bruce. Season would be over already without him. Plenty of questions still remain though I think. At the end of January, with new players plus Grealish and Tuanzebe back, I want to see some progression. I wouldn't expect to get back to the heights of Derby/Boro 0-3s, but I want to see us solidify and players working for each other. The summer rebuild will be a real clean slate for the squad and they'll be a huge turnaround of players. Is Smith's system, which so far he's stuck to 99% of the time, something new centre halves and new CMs can come into a make work straight away next season? In an ideal world obviously we go up through the playoffs this season!
  19. Has he ever put the effort into any match that Tammy, who isn't even our player, routinely does? His off days are becoming more frequent than his on days. He just can't be bothered, and I can't be bothered with him in that mood to be honest. Picks and chooses his matches. Was Blues last time he played well? He'd be twice the player with a better attitude. Same can be said of El Ghazi. You can see when they're going to lose the ball and when they're not. If they've got rough opposition and a soft ref they just give up possession again and again. If Smith can get through to him, he's worth keeping, but it isn't looking good to be honest.
  20. He's not abysmal, ability is at his disposal. He's just a total coward. Not interested in playing football under pressure and will happily hide away so he's not the person being blamed. Not the man you want in the trenches. He'll probably be useful when Grealish is back and we're looking good. Due to his goalscoring he's someone I'd definitely look to sell in the summer as we might be able to get £6/7m from some mugs. He could go and score 15 next season for someone else and I wouldn't care, because it's clear the sort of player he is, he'll never change. It'd 15 easy goals lost for a much more control of games and probably 25 goals scored by the rest of the team.
  21. Arter be alright I think. Gets through loads of work, which most of our team refuse to do at the moment.
  22. Earning a quarter of what Scott Hogan earns
