Cardiff have to pay really. Contracts etc have been exchanged. Whether it was now or in two years times, he was their player. Hopefully they've got some sort of insurance which covers this sort of thing.

Not sure about PL, but we'd definitely have seen some better football. Looking at how poor last season was... I think you're probably right, we'd have gone up last season. Smith is starting further back than RDM though, having to pick up Bruce's mess of a squad. I'm not 100% certain yet Smith is the right man to rebuild the squad in the Summer. The abandonment of his style, but persistence with the formation the last month or so is a bad trait.

You can see when he's going to lose the ball, every time. Throwing legs around like Michael Flatley but not actually throwing anyone. So so easy to play against.

I love Smith, he's great. I agree with 99% of everything he says. Seen better football since he's been here than I've seen since roughly 2008. Need to see more progress that the last few performances though. Summer is going to be a big rebuild and players are more or less going to be brought in for the head coach. Have we got the right coaching team in place? Would love for Smith to be the man. Can he do it with the amount of utter cowards in the club at the moment? It'll be tough. I'd love to see an alternative formation from Smith between now and the end of the season. If the 4-3-3 isn't working, our plan is....the same but with different personnel. Why is Neil Taylor still making squads? Why is Albert Adomah starting? Why is Conor Hourihane allowed to coast through games? What the hell will we look like without Grealish and McGinn? Terrifying.

If he's brave and shows for the ball he'll succeed for us in that DM role offensively. Don't think he'll do much to stop runners marauding through our midfield though. Fee being linked so heavily will hurt him if he doesn't start well.

Didn't see the FA Cup game but Fer was great against us in the 1-0 win at Liberty. Really good. Big boss in the middle. Better than I ever remember him in the PL. He's lost all his hair and looked to have put on about 3 stone in muscle. I don't know how good he is every week though. Just turned 29, 2.5 year deal ideal if he's of that level every match.

Be interesting to see if he can do anything there. He has looked so poor for us. For the best if he can score some goals so we can recoup some money for him.
