Interesting roll of the dice from Smith. Very much not his sort of player.
He should have cushioned that chance back for Tammy and it was a great opportunity. He goes for some stupid scissor kick.
We've got very little out wide if El Ghazi isn't firing. I don't know what's happened to Kodj. He's just as likely to bag the winner in the playoffs as he is to play 90 mins and not have a touch.
Unless you're Jack Grealish and you come back from 3 months injured, get named skip, and lead the boys to 5 wins on the bounce.
Although I suppose no one really played well when Jack was out!
Agree with your point but I think on occasion it could cost us in the case of Grealish and McGinn. They simply must play if fit, they're a cut above anything else at the club.
I'm never that confident usually but we're playing out of our skins. Much more worried about Sheff Wed than Bristol at home, purely as it's away. I think we'll thump Lee Johnson again, just like the 5-0.
Not really.
He was largely functional and ugly under Bruce. Just like everything we did under him.
He's been brilliant in this attacking team recently. Great to see us play some football finally. It's something we can all enjoy.
He'll send them out to kick Grealish out the game. It's all he knows.
We should have enough but this will have a real derby atmosphere.
Need Tammy to start tucking away some of these easy chances.
Where was Kalinic? I'd like him back in immediately.
Forget the goal, first half with not much to do he was charging round all over the place. Looked panicky under corners and started to come for a ball that was never his out towards RB.
Steer has had nothing to do for 5 games and it's a shame Kalinic couldn't have been part of the team building confidence.
Great ball by McGinn for the first goal but it was Grealish that made it happen.
He had several easy balls backwards, but doesn't take that option if there's a chance to score. Turned in an awkward spot and kept us on the front foot.
None of that happened when he was out the side.
Very poor in a team utterly dominating.
Almost every move breaks down when he gets the ball. He doesn't think he's good enough, zero confidence. I wonder if he might be better away from home.
It won't get easier than that first half for him. Given the ball so many times one-on-one with the full back.
We need him to score in the first minute to get something to spark because he's brought nothing forward from that Sheff Utd goal.
That first 20 mins. Good grief. Ferocious.
Green really poor and Tammy doing his best to throw away goals and we still win.
Should have been 5 goals up before 60 mins.
Without the international break I'd be really really confident about tomorrow. As such, I'm just confident. Was confident v Boro as well.
We are running through teams.
One game at a time, we can do this. We will be the ones in the playoffs everyone is terrified of.
He has Martin O'Neill to thank for the very many millions of pounds he's earned.
Many other managers would have got rid the second they saw he couldn't trap a bag of cement.
