  1. Don't know how Bowen has passed me by. Just not seen much of him. Would love Phillips. Mostly because Leeds will hate it.
  2. He's be a silly sausage then. Sitting on the bench is not the way 21 year olds improve. If he's not going to get minutes he should be in asking to leave or go on loan. And if it's loan, I'm certain he'd want to come back here.
  3. Anyone confirmed what the injury was? Before we spend any money on him it needs to be cleared up that it isn't one of his many many old injuries reappearing. Can't believe how good he's been. What a boss at the back.
  4. Not sure they've proved it fully. Rondon never looked a proper goalscorer in England until late on for Newcastle. However he was playing for Pulis which is horrible, and in a poor Newcastle side for the most part. He's good at everything else so wouldn't say no. Tammy is only 21, I think he will improve.
  5. Rondon no. Good player, but need someone who can finish the many chances we make. As much as I like and rate Tammy, Dwight Gayle would have scored 30+ league goals for us last season.
  6. He was OK. Got overrun at the end but was outnumbered. McGinn did all the heavy lifting for both him and Grealish yesterday. I think we'd have been comfortable with Whelan tbh. Think he would have suited the Prem 10 years ago. Needs to step up now the high press is all the rage. Always looks alright when he's got time, and poor when he doesn't.
  7. Haven't seen him play for a whole season but I wonder if Ronaldo Vieria might be worth a look. Was brilliant for Leeds. Could be a good all rounder to get hold of on the cheap.
  8. If anyone can get the full post match I'd be interested.
  9. Yep. Wanted out, wanted his payoff more.
  10. If I were him I wouldn't want to play under any other manager. Twice the player he walked in as.
  11. Having carried us here and picking us up off the floor 10 weeks ago, thought he was poor today. Obviously, this is with the caveat that he's Jack Grealish, so I'm judging him against himself which is a hell of a level to live up to. He still had some nice touches and showed some superb composure at times. Couple of things he normally nails went wrong though. Couple of shots, couple of passes. Anyway don't care, about time we won a match when he wasn't one of our best three players. Brilliant interview above there, everyone should watch it. Great person, great player, great leader to have in the dressing room. Premier League isn't ready for him. People weeping about goals and assists haven't watched the little blighter play, they'll realise you can't get near him when he's on.
  12. John boy, what an effing performance. Stepped up big time today. For the first time in a long time I thought Jack, for Jack, was fairly off. John stuck him and Conor on his shoulders and forced them onwards. I love him so much. Shone during a sticky second half, took on so much responsibility on when we needed it. The way he lifted the crowd closing the keeper down! Magnificent. I'll never stop laughing at his celebrations. Always appears in the epicentre of the rucks that form when others score, and is proper little kid in the playground when he bags. Charges around in three directions at the same time. Big chin plant into the floor on his slide, but he bounces back up and continues sprinting along the touchline.
  13. What about if Steve Bruce thought he was good enough. Would you be happy to spend big on him then?
  14. I wouldn't want us to match them for the sake of it. He'll come here on loan over Wolves on loan definitely. He's got loads of mates here, is the main striker and knows exactly how we play. Clearly wants to give it a bash at Chelsea and unluckily for us their transfer ban means he'll get a go as well.
  15. I'd sign him for £25m if that was the deal. He's so much younger than you think of him as. Attitude is there and that will get him over so many hurdles.
  16. Ferocious in the first half. Must secure for £5m.
  17. Forget the goals, thanks for the effort big Kev. A shining example of how to be a professional footballer. Be great to have him back at some point.
  18. Tasty bet. There was a bit of twitter chat he's in. Him and Albert.
  19. Because most billionaires don't want to to blow £500m on a football team with no guarantee of success ?
  20. Because most billionaires don't want to to blow £500m on a football team with no guarantee of success? Of course you could do it if you wanted to.
