Got a pal who has had a Burnley season ticket for about 15 years. Just asked him about Heaton and he's given me some remarkable confidence. "More than solid, an absolutely outstanding purchase. Top class keeper. I would be absolutely gutted to lose him, however I do feel Pope is the better keeper overall so I can see why he is looking to leave. 10m should get him, and that would seriously be a snip. I’m telling you having seen both Pope and Heaton that they are genuinely 2 of the best English 3 keepers. He seriously has no weakness whatsoever other than he doesn’t come off his line and collect the ball enough. Pope is brilliant at that, that’s why I prefer him. But many Burnley fans will tell you Heaton is better, there really is nothing between them. If you get him I can confidently say in 2 months time you’ll message me saying how brilliant he is. They are both better goalkeepers all round than Pickford and Butland, I’m sure of it." #AnnounceHeaton

Heaton yes, solid. Wilson, meh. Nampy bamby every time I watched him. Focussed more on lashing shots on goal than playing for the team whenever I saw him.

The worse a team is and the lower the expectation, the better Brucie will do. Don't really want to play him though, I got Blues match like nerves before the Wednesday game. Horrible.

Non-issue. Right decision was made at the time. He could have been crap. He could have got injured straight away. He could have been great and we didn't go up.

If we sign a starting CB, DM and RW, we'll have a strong starting XI and very little in terms of quality depth. I don't think we'll be having any cup runs this season.

Percy says 4 years in the Axel story he's just published. I think 3 would be very strange.

He did come with a rep, and yes he was poor and didn't live up to it. Steer isn't better than him for me though. Not at coming for, or catching crosses. He looks panicked a lot under crosses and was often shaky at corners. Those two catches at the end of the play-off final were wonderful though yes. Second one was celebrated like a goal around me. He didn't come charging out to claim them though, they were floated crosses into his six yard box he should have been catching.

Big Lovre is still here for now! Wouldn't be surprised if he started number 1.

Really you think? I'm not sure. We need still a starting CB, DM and GK. I think we'll only get one more after that which is likely to be a RW. More welcome.

I'm not that set on him tbh. Tad lightweight when I've watched him, could imagine him having quiet games. Smith being such a big fan swings me though, wouldn't mind £12-16m.

Trezeguet looks like he plays on the left yes. But I'd rather sign a starting RW tbh, El Ghazi found a great relationship with Grealish out there in the second half of the season.

Benrahma is definitely the nuts. That one is 100% Smith pushing the deal. He coached him for 3 or 4 months so saw how good he was behind the scenes and wants him in. Remarkable he came from Ligue 2 football! These players are out there.

I'm in the Hegazi is good but Dawson for £5.5m was a better option camp. Hegazi and Mings woah. That is brutal. Don't even think I'd be fazed going to Turf Moor with them lads in there.

Contract thing I think. 1 year left and wants his retirement contract. Which is a concern of signing him, think he has eyes on huge bucks. He's got great command of his area and is solid most other department. Footwork average.

Said it yourself, FFP limits us. We don't have an unlimited budget, thus limited. He isn't crazy. Just a joke of his love of attacking football. It would be incredibly exciting to sign Maupay as well as big Wes. Wondering if he could do a job on the wing as cover for the whole front three.

I think don't think Phillips move will happen to be honest, been too long and Leeds are flogging anyone except him to raise funds. Rongier and Santamaria are the two from France and it appears Santamaria is the more defensive of the pair, so he's the one I think we should pursue right now.
