I think there's a bit of back and forth going on at the moment. No way Hourihane gets one before McGinn. The Man Utd story, followed by a McGinn contract story in the sun stinks of his agent calling in favours to get more money. I think he's holding on for a bit more dough myself. If he flies early in the PL he might even ask for me, if he struggles, he might sign one already sat waiting on the table for him.

He stays fit, we stay up. Can see an oaf like Delph injuring him and getting away with a yellow. Hoping to notice the difference between PL and Championship refs. Certainly noticed the drop off when we got relegated. -

You know the stick he complained of? Before it really hit the fan on the pitch and he started saying he knew better, and he wanted to shut fans up. It was all online stuff he was referring to because support was always there at games. Right up to the final few weeks. He's had more abuse from Newcastle fans on the internet in the last week than it took for him to dig out Villa fans. I do hope his kids are reporting it back to him so he's ready to fire on the toon army in his opening press conference. 23rd November as it stands, Villa v Newcastle. In case you were wondering.

We need a another DM going into the season. Not sure Doug can carry the mantle until January on his own. I'm certain McGinn could do a job if needs be, but he didn't ever get out their last season.

Deano did manage to really rattle Purslow by saying he wanted to win the league next season, referring to the PL. Very funny. Purslow could hardly choke out words of agreement he was so taken aback.

Really doesn't look like a DM in that Barca video. When we really clicked last season was when we had Whelan in and fully released Jack and John. Obviously we could get away with Glenn in the champ and this is a different kettle of fish. But we have to be sure whoever plays there can monitor defensive situations well. Hourihane for example really struggled, and I think he's a fairly smart footballer.

That what I always thought would happen last year but Smith nerve once tried McGinn deep. Maybe he feels he's missed too much further forward. Certainly wouldn't rule it out.

Doug sits on the bench if we sign Phillips first match I'd imagine. A country mile? I'm not sure he's better at all as I've never seen him. What are his strengths? How many times have you seen him?

I don't think that chap is ITK. He's plucked a player and got lucky. Maybe Naive. If he is, Dean Smith will be getting a wrist slap for telling his son club transfer plans. In turn, I'm sure Smith's son will be in a lot of trouble from daddio.
