Couldn't see down by the corner for Grealish goal, but he was key for it. Started with a bad touch from him and he doesn't care, no time to care when there's a loose ball to hunt down! Great knowing we've replaced Tammy's workrate at the top of the pitch. The stern looks he dishes out when moves break down are hilarious. This guy wants it. Brilliant.

He looks scared and take the easiest option possible 95% of the time. Needs to go and play every game this season somewhere, probably league one.

He caused trouble v City when they played this season in a similar vein to when David James went up front.

Never know how much is official with PL and stuff like that. He may have agreed but permit for someone outside the EU could take a day or two. Or FA could have to sign it off? They aren't not announcing it for the sake of it. When we announce it, he'll be in to start training immediately, which the club want ASAP. It's between hours and days away.

Sadly I'm here as well. I think Trez was the backup that we're sensibly carrying out as we still need bodies. I do think he may be cover for striker as well though, so Benrahma is possible. That's my hope anyway.

Ain't good enough for DM, no way. Hides from getting our play going when any pressure is applied. I have doubts about him further forward as well, but his return always outweighed his performances anyway, which is a great trait to have. If he gets goals in the Prem he'll be a great player to have around and throw on.

Incredibly comfortable with the ball. Wouldn't be surprised to see him used at DM at some point.

Incredibly generous. Only one of the players you've mentioned who could start for us is Kodjia.

I can't remember the last time the three teams coming up were all possession based sides, none consistently bang it forward and try and score from a knock down. This season, we will take some wallopings. We will concede when a defender or the keeper loses the ball very deep. I think we'll score goals as well though. Looking forward to enjoying watching us.

I think he'll be very consistent in his own personal game. Certain opponents and matches won't suit him, and many will. Lovely to watch.

He was better than Green which thunders home the point ever further how much Andre needs a loan somewhere.

His touch is usually better when it's a trickier ball to deal with and he's instinctive. Which is the way round you'd want it as the ability is in there to eventually be a more comfortable player all round.

He's also just put one on a plate for O'Hare who couldn't get his feet sorted. That goes in when he's with the first XI. Almost jarring to see a striker that big dropping off and running wide. Working his socks off. His touch is hit and miss I think. Has brought a few down out the sky and other times it's bounced off him. Plenty to work with.

Could be for us! He's just brought down a goal kick and stuck it on a plate for Hogan. Great stuff.

Blimey. Well I still think we need a DM for the squad. From my incredibly limited viewing of Luiz, I think we might end up getting more out of him further forward. At home, on the attack, I'm certain him Jack & John will have tremendous fun all in the middle together. Reckon Berge would have any interest in Villa or ship already sailed?

literally all accounts from Brugge fans he's an incredibly hard worker so we're fine. My one thought on him is that you can see he likes to link the play a bit deeper than a leading man usually would. I hope he mixes up the first time flicks/layoffs, with sometimes trapping it and turning, or getting it under control himself before firing a pass off. One thing with link forwards that annoys me is when they go for the flicks too often and they'll lose the ball four times out of five trying ambitious moves.

Don't think it's happening too much really. Probably is on Facebook and Twitter, but I don't listen idiots on there. People might comment on a performance, positive or negative, and others, instead of adding to the debate leap to CALM DOWN LET'S NOT GET CARRIED AWAY! Forums are for discussion I reckon
