  1. What on earth are Stoke doing. They're going for promotion in theory. Good grief. Thought he'd end up at a Millwall or something.
  2. Jeepers. I don't understand why more aren't in for him.
  3. Lovely stuff. Bench at best for Spurs but looking forward to seeing him on the pitch soon.
  4. You can play the ball out from the back without being as casual as Mings appears. He always looked less comfortable in possession than Tuanzebe last year. I think he rates his ability highly, which should help him if he does have a cockup, carry on playing his game despite setbacks. I do have reservations about him this season, he'll be doing well if he doesn't lose his place all season long I think. He was a signing we ended up having to make almost and brings lots of positives off the pitch.
  5. Not a fan. He seemed smug Tammy was leaving in January and took sly digs at a few fans. Maybe he picked that up from Brucey. I always found Kendrick much better in the tough spot of writing for the mail. He's called one thing I can recall, Mings 5 mins earlier than Percy did. He should improve a lot with the access to players he'll have now he doesn't have to write 10 articles a day on what John McGinn had for breakfast.
  6. Maybe contact them and let them know your thoughts. I'm doing the same. The guy is garbage.
  7. I'm convinced the best thing for him is a loan to Sunderland. League One opposition in a good team, he'll get loads of chat chances and could get his confidence back.
  8. Heaton and Guilbert. Both will start over 100 games for us the next three seasons.
  9. Really? Didn't feel that long a gap. 19 days then. We announced Doug 25th July. Add 19 days on and it's 13th August.
  10. But he is a Wolves fan isn't he? Was loving Tammy leaving in January.
  11. Alarm bells on this fella from Turkey. Fan opinion matters more for me when it's unanimous, and this looks like it is. Look at Hibs with McGinn, Brugge fans and their words on Wesley's attitude, Burnley fans with Heaton. He'll get a clean slate but there's plenty of worrying signs there.
  12. No issue with any of those challenges in they recent 3 min video. He looks great. But an earlier one that was posted right after he was linked I remember I said he'd get sent off every week with those tackles. Two feet up is a no-no. You can win the ball clean as a whistle and you're still off half the time. Hopefully he's been told that. I'd start him at Tottenham.
  13. Just checking. This new Athletic website that all the writers have gone to. For some reason they've hired Gregg Evans as a Villa writer. Isn't he a Representative for Wellingborough Wolves fan who cried all January Tammy was leaving? What a shame.
  14. Working with an Italian chap this week. Asked him about Belotti he thinks we have 0% chance of getting him, maybe 1% he said. Proper talisman for Torino, they wouldn't sell their captain him without a replacement lined up and there's no rumours of him leaving in Italy. He reckons it would take at least €60m.
  15. The battle on...AND IN...EL GHAZI ARRIVES!!
  16. Weird in what way? When he doesn't try I'll criticise him. The last time be played really well was Blues at home. That's a good while ago now. He was OK in the scarce minutes towards the end of the season but had played himself out of the team already. Ability wise, he definitely should have been in ahead of Adomah, and could have displaced Tammy when he went off the boil. He even fell behind Andre Green! Green who was struggling in everything he did but at least ran around a bit when he didn't have the ball. Kodj picked and chose his moments to put real effort in/hold his concentration/do what was being asked and Smith lost faith in him. I wonder if he now thinks he can't play any of the roles he needs in his defined system. He's a magician who pulls rabbits out of hats when you're expecting something routine. Outside of that, he can flatter to deceive. He is good enough for Premier League football though.
  17. Young had the materials but I think John Robertson really turned him into a player. Remember how much he struggled on the right when he first came. The move to the left and introduction of the triple cut back changed his game. For about 18 months he was the best winger in the league. Utd came in for him and he was beginning to slide I think.
  18. Probably because not as many knew about him playing in Ligue 2, and he still had to prove it in a tougher league. He's now done that, I'm surprised there's not more movement around him.
  19. An U23 XI play a match v Doug and McGinn.
  20. He does look fantastic. Does run like Hazard whoever said it, yes. All Brentford's players used to turn into god's v us in the last three years though. Why aren't more teams in for him at less than £20m do you think?
  21. This is the one that's popped up. They're going big on it. Can't say I've heard of either journalist. Slight slight reservation is this would be a third winger who does his best work on the left wing. Be nice two have two rights and two lefts but they can all switch. Lot of good players coming out of Algeria in the last few years. Golden generation!
  22. Not sure about all the claret vinyl knocking around. Need to see it in real life. Definitely good work getting something done though. These owners are do-ers.
  23. Oi! I've been slagging him off for well over 12 months, not having any this year's nonsense.
  24. That's where my undefeated comes in, though it isn't really! But we weren't bothered by Norwich. It almost all reserves playing half pace. And WBA we lost 1-0 but won the tie on pens on the same night. I've forgotten what it feels like to lose. Hopefully the players have as well.
