  1. Deserved extension. A professional fill in man.
  2. Up to him to show it on the pitch. He's good enough. Never hides even when back's are to the wall, my favourite thing about Jacko as a player. Him and McGinn are great at standing up even when everything is going wrong. If his season isn't going the way he wants and he never makes the England squad I think we'll see good attitude regardless.
  3. Don't listen to Harry's lies. John Toshack had played Bale further forward months before Harry. He was immense to Wales every game going forward. Harry persisted at LB for a while before giving it a go.
  4. Preston play good football that's for sure. If he can break into the side he'll be doing well. He needs to or he's done here.
  5. I don't think they would. Everyone hated Gary Neville. It took about half a season before it was agreed on by 95% that he was the best pundit on TV when he first appeared. I know it's Gary Neville and he was in fact a player so that's a bad example, but many flipped their opinion of him because he was so good. I'm certain if that was anyone else presenting that show as he did when it first appeared it would be just as successful. If you stuck a journalist or young coach on MOTD and they were good and charasmatic, people wouldn't care. Especially after three weeks when it's obvious he knows more about football than Alan Shearer. Funny isn't it, because we know the best players don't make the best managers all the time. That's a fact. Yet TV is stuck getting big name players in instead of saving themselves money and getting better analysis for a tenth of the price. MOTD is actually a tricky one because you've got 3-4 mins max to "analyse" each game. MOTD2 or any of the sky or BT post match bits are better for seeing which pundits can show you something that isn't a big chuff off arrow on the on the pitch while they say "get men in the box".
  6. He'd have been steamrolled in that Bournemouth game. It was a snappy midfield battle. He wouldn't have made Doug Luiz's errors but I don't think we'd have been as dominant either. I just don't see where you can play him. The Grealish/McGinn role is the only one I can see him in but he's very short in ball carrying which we've become accustomed to having from that position. He's not good enough to be shifting Grealish out wide as a few have said I'm afraid. Could plonk him wide left and just tell him to sling it in like Elmo does on the other side constantly, but I don't think that would be a success.
  7. Interesting shout. I thought Elmo wasted plenty of the ball with very gentle floated crosses because that's all he ever does. He goes on the football pitch and crosses the ball, from wherever he is. If he's deeper into their half, his crosses are better, but he'll do it from 45 yards out if he has to. Taylor did his usual of not going forward unless being forced to by John McGinn's instructions and being absolutely trash when he did. Targett and Guilbert both start for me and both stay in the team. What could possibly happen is they both start and we take a 3-0 kicking as we're (hopefully) going forward, unlike Spurs game where we sat back for the whole second half, leading some to declare Neil Taylor a defensive full back. We need to get them in for matches we've got a better chance in. We can't wait for a Sheff U/Brighton/Norwich match then suddenly throw them in.
  8. Hope so. And I hope he stays in the team.
  9. Sat on Brighton's bench even when they're starting three CBs. No thanks.
  10. Serious bargain for under £10m.
  11. It'll be a lot easier to attract a decent forward/winger if we aren't rock bottom. In the mix, and we can maybe get a few more bodies in.
  12. Wasn't was it? Angelino has been brought back to be a part of their squad.
  13. Targett would have bagged 4 on his own tho.
  14. Great positivity sir. I've enjoyed both games as well. Results must appear soon though before confidence starts affecting the team. Once the full backs are in, I think we'll start seeing some repayment for good play. We'd have beaten Bournemouth just with Targett for me. Not one to worry about yet, but I hope we have an alternative system up our sleeve. We've played well in the two games so far, but we're likely to have two or three losses in a row this season not playing well, change of shape is something stark to try that could stop that happening.
  15. I don't think we'll be winning any matches this with these full backs starting. Looking forward to them changing, hopefully starts this Friday.
  16. It's classic Grealish, really is. Draws players in incredibly.
  17. Only 20 PL losses in 5 years for Grealish. Better record than Man City. Wonder if he is aware of it. Brilliant stat to have.
  18. He's earned a start on the left wing. Get Jota and Guilbert in on the right for Everton.
  19. Wasn't there a report we wouldn't pay £10m for Santamaria? Don't think we'd pay more or similar for a "next choice", doesn't make sense. We'd just pay the £10m or whatever for the better player. I really wanted Santamaria, and Phillips actually, but both look different players to Marvelous.
  20. "butthurt Grealish fan club" Off you pop to Facebook. This forum is too civilised for you. Bye.
  21. Nah. Not when he was picking players who weren't playing at all ahead of him. Or sometimes playing left back and they're being picked CM ahead of Grealish running matches.
  22. How can I be more helpful to you?
