  1. Blimey, great positivity! Nowhere near that me. Every point feels precious. I'll be over the moon if we really hit form and start to pull away. We absolutely need to buy at least one "starter" in Jan to not be in a huge scrap for me. Would you be fairly comfortable not buying anyone in January and still be thinking we'd be fine?
  2. No chance. Not when it's hard. That's when Hourihane disappears. He's proven it enough times now. Maybe he could play in a home match where we might have more of a go, not away.
  3. Depends if he needs one. If he's fit, there's no scenario at the moment he shouldn't be starting for us in a league match where points are up for grabs. Today was Man City. Everyone was crap v Brighton bar Jack, their setup and performance was fantastic.
  4. Yes, I did laugh though. Absolutely crap.
  5. Well, we certainly aren't crap so that's nice. We're getting absolutely dry-humped by VAR and refereeing constantly. That's not nice. I think we'll win some games 1-0 or 2-1 we should probably win 5-0. We must get more clinical and also try and pinch some results we don't deserve. That Brighton win is so huge looking at the next few weeks.
  6. His casualness is quite entertaining to watch. Grealish-esq mastery over the ball. The symphony orchestra to Wes and Trez's clattering saucepans with big sticks.
  7. Had a while to digest the game. Don't think any of the angrier people than me saying he looks absolutely trash are wrong sadly. Looks very much to be worst of our summer buys. Has anyone seen a striker worse than him this season? If we had some old mug who can't move like Glenn Murray or Jay Rodriguez we'd have more points and they'd have more goals than Wes. We overpaid to secure the work permit from memory. Wonder what we really valued him at? ~£15m? Needs to be dropped to try and light a fire or something. Looks like he can't play football half the time. Stumbles around not challenging for anything and can't control or kick the ball properly. Prove me wrong Wesley.
  8. It's hardly a technical thing though. We could play McGinn up front and he'd win more than Wes and he's about a foot shorter. He'd be aggressive and fight for the ball though. It simply appears a lack of willing to go and mix it. As I said, he won everything v Norwich. Their CBs are more uncompromising than Stones and Fernandinho, why does he sometimes just not want to compete?
  9. Pretty tired of him winning almost no ball. Team must be very tired of it. Why can Jesus who is half his size win a header against Mings to assist? Why can he bump Mings off and lay off a long ball that wasn't much good into him. That's not a huge technical thing, I don't expect Wes to be as good a footballer as Jesus. He should be able to hold the ball up better than him though. He should be able to move and position himself to at least compete for balls forward. Maybe I'm being harsh. City obviously great, but it just feels like Wes wins nothing unless it's right into his feet, even then someone can come through and take it without him holding them off 90% of the time. So easy to play against. He's certainly now the main weak point now Taylor is gone for me. We're a dream to play for as a striker. All you have to do is hold the ball up and wait in the box, the chances will definitely come. If We were brilliant first 20 mins v Norwich partly because Wes was duffing up their CBs and winning or at least trying to win every knock forwards. Keinan looked lively. Think I'd start him v Pool. We've got to send some sort of message to Wes, may as well do it in a match we're likely to lose anyway. These 2/10 performances are not acceptable. He's good enough and these below par performances look like an effort thing to me even if they aren't. Defenders brushing him aside like he's not there and him watching on as CBs head the ball away? People would be hammering Keinan if he was doing it as it's very poor.
  10. Right team picked I think. Regardless of result. Maybe Keinan in for Wes for me, but wouldn't make that much of a difference.
  11. Two changes... Trez in for El Ghazi Doug in for Hourihane
  12. Pocc was alright? I think Hassenhuttl is a good manager. Far better than fat Sam.
  13. Even 11 v 11, saints really were crap. Good result. Sadly (because I quite like supporting the underdog) we need sides like Southampton to lose these without any issue. Plenty are picking up unlikely points. Fancy Norwich to beat Man Utd tbh.
  14. Because they've killed over 1,000 people forcing them to build the stadiums.
  15. Do you get paid much for being in a world cup? Probably from Qatar yes. They'll have to face up to some real flak if various world superstars pull out and they still go.
  16. It'll happen, but it could still fall apart. I can definitely see England dropping out if a few key players like Sterling and Kane refuse to go.
  17. Cool, must have been quite a few times then. His goal record is good, and he's the position we need.
  18. How many times have you seen Bowen play? He's nowhere near as good as Benrahma for me.
  19. First priority for me is a striker. Then a winger. Third and unlikely is a left back yep. I think if we get two players who can start we'll stay up.
  20. It gives us the flexibility of signing either a CM or a winger if you want to look at it that way. If Jack is now a winger, we probably need a starting CM. I personally wouldn't mind a winger and Jack heading back to the middle, he'll be brilliant wherever.
  21. That win last week was so massive bearing in mind our next 6. Utd and Chelsea we have a good chance yes, but it's likely we lose I'd imagine. Wolves and especially Newcastle absolutely monstrous so we don't stagnate.
  22. Ah there you go, never had one of them. Will be picking one up soon.
  23. Had a Cadbury's Wunderbar in Germany other day. Fantastic. Don't think I've seen them in UK. Also had first Boost of my life recently. What's the middle bit? It's like old school chocolate concrete or something.
  24. We've got minimal chance. Agree with the few saying set pieces will be important. If there's one thing we will do, it's win fouls. Where we'll fall down is only at Norwich have I seen us have any "relaxed" possession. We're always rushing forward or backward. It's why we get so tired. Against this lot we have to really use our time on the ball well, not always fly forward immediately and lose it. If KDB is rested, it's on.
