Delighted to read this from the boss... In some ways we're a pain to get players for. We're bad, but the club is big, so expectations are high. So many players in recent times have crumpled here, when they've looked like decent players elsewhere. It's so hard to change the mindset, takes years and years. It took years to damage, but we managed it somehow.

Based on previous transfers where they've predicted how well players will do in a different league. They predicted a preposterous season for Salah based on his numbers in Italy, coming back to a league he'd already failed in. 32 goals later I think they were right. Moving "up leagues", it's hard to maintain a high number, yes. His attacking output would be higher if kept the ball better and made passes in the lead up to goals more often. It takes into account where his goals were scored from, and where they went into the net and translates it all across. Would these 5 goals he's stuck right down the middle of the goal have gone in if it was a PL goalkeeper? No? Right well his score comes down. I'm not agreeing with it, it's not perfect, nothing is. Just saying I think their methods are sound. Like I said, the Villa Analytics account will hopefully give something better later as it's run by a fan and he'll be looking to be positive. I think this dude is better than Wes and he's now playing for a team that can open up almost anyone when playing well, so he'll sure get chances to mess this negative review off.

It's adapted for the PL. His output in Belgium would be incredibly high I'd guess. Their modelling is reliable. All these are just numbers though, performances on the pitch matter above all else.

When we're playing well, all you have to be is an average striker and you'll get a lot of chances. Hopefully this frees Grealish up to come back into Midfield. We need composure in there.

Gaston Pereiro played RW for a season in 2016/17, but otherwise has very much been a #10 that we don't really need... and we definitely don't play atm. I'd take him definitely as he's talented but would prefer a striker and an out and out winger with real pace if I can be picky, which I can't because we've **** around and need players.

Depends what his performances were like I imagine. If they were as poor as Wes', yes he'd be getting slated. If he had no goals but was playing as well as zero-goals David McGoldrick for example, he'd be getting plenty of praise.

It happens with everyone on there, famous or not, a sportsman or now. If you've got a big following, or even if you've just said something that's disagreed with you'll get undeserved abuse.
