  1. Also linked in France with Giroud. If this heads towards us towards 352 then I'm for it.
  2. "Risk" is the new wanky bullshit from tired pundits with zero understanding or insight. You know what else is a risk? Not signing him. You know what else is a risk? Buying Lionel Messi. Or not signing him, whatever, either is a risk. It's an empty phrase with no meaning because they attach it to everything. Like the way they pad out sentences with the words "football club" to try and add some depth to their worthless speech.
  3. Newcastle stand off everyone and are 7 points above us. Stood off City and got a 2-2 draw. They stood off Chelsea yesterday, didn't get a touch, and won 1-0. Teams play differently across the league. Our players aren't good enough. What has properly killed us is playing without a striker the first of half of the season. That was when we had to pick up points. We were flying high on confidence but couldn't put matches away because we had Wes doing almost everything wrong. Obviously Chelsea and Leicester losing points to absolutely everyone at the bottom except us is also very annoying.
  4. Struggling to see three wins there tbh as much as it would be great. Miracle needed. We need to get Grealish into the middle of the pitch in front of the midfield 2 and I'll believe we've got a squeak. It's taken Smith a year to try change the formation, can't see him doing it again.
  5. They do I agree. Haven't today though, Leicester have just been shite. We're down. Said for months there's a lack of other bad sides to drop instead of us. OK, 6 points v Watford and Bournemouth and I'll think we have a chance. I think we'll get 1 at most.
  6. Yeah good shout. Kane's game has grown into a genuine world class all round one having looked pretty average up to age 21. Haaland has shown nothing like Kane's ability deeper on the pitch, but he's miles ahead of Kane at the same age.
  7. Thought exactly this early today when he had 35 yards of space to play El Ghazi into and thumped a 60 yard pass out for a goal kick. He tries but the quality is just abysmal. Is he honestly a better player than Weimann? Green? Vassilev?! He's got a bit more confidence on the ball than all them I suppose. A bad purchase for £9-11m.
  8. Holding my breath and peeking out from behind the settee when Marv and Hause are pinging the balls to each other with opponents everywhere.
  9. I don't think we can move Mings, he's too important, controls everything. Both Konsa and Hause are liable to brainfarts and need keeping in line from the big man; as do both midfielders, and the wing backs, and whoever is up front apart from Jack. Mings would be our best option on that side though yes. I'd be confident in either Konsa or Engels on the ball on the left actually, my only worry would be if Engels would get run ragged out wide. Hause is very scary yes. From minute to minute he's either looking like he's got rollerskates on or really comfortable doing chops inside to himself, never seen anything like it. If Engels was fit I'd be thinking about him for the next game.
  10. Hause today a good example of how stats can be guff. It was genuinely uncomfortable watching him first half. So nervous and unsure. Then second half he was a lot better, showed some great feet towards the end, like a different player. I don't know if Engels would get exposed for pace in that slightly wider position. Mings has to stay in the middle I think, too important.
  11. Yep, poor effort for him. When he watches it back he'll be fuming. He'd got away from their guy, think he thought he was getting caught.
  12. Best #9 to appear since Lewandowski. He did well to avoid Utd.
  13. What's going on?! Have you been drinking? Why you bringing up Smith? Why have you got a capital M on morally? We beat Burnley 2 games ago, Newcastle lost to them. Villa beat Newcastle in December and we're rubbish. Honestly... facebook.com, have a look. Right up your street.
  14. You seem unstable. Have you been on Facebook before? I think it would suit your mindset and intelligence. Plenty of Villa pages for you to go post about Smith and Bruce on.
  15. Evening Alex. Everyone should sit in their box like Newcastle it would be great.
  16. Reminds me of the excellent Chelsea cameo, what a **** pass. This has to be the standard Doug. Keep your head on the swivel, be aware and quicken your game and you're there! A dirty bastard next to him would help him a lot, it's absolutely made for more disciplined John McGinn which is a shame.
  17. Obviously I'd prefer to win, what's your point? My point is that what they're doing is unsustainable. They're as likely to beat Chelsea as they are to lose to Burnley like they did a few weeks ago because they aren't doing anything. There is no plan bar sit back. They're sitting in their box and seeing what happens. Credit to them, it's funny I think.
  18. This is the risk the owners should be looking at! If we go down, we ain't getting more than £50m for Jack. If we stay up, the price is £100m please Mr. Woodward. Hey look I've just found us £50m to spend in January. N'Zonzi, get your arse to the airport.
  19. You have to laugh at Newcastle. Unbelievable stuff. They are wank. Said a lot of times if Bruce was doing his Bruceing for us in the Premier League, fans would have been a lot more patient. Bruceing against Ipswich and Barnsley in the Championship unforgivable. Doing it in the PL v Chelsea and Man City you've got the fun of taking points off some really good sides.
  20. Hard working yes, plus they have two players with actual pace that makes them a threat on the counter. Organised? Not for me. Sitting 11 men in your own box and refusing to participate isn't organising yourselves well. According to xG they're bottom with 14 points fewer than they actually have. It's unsustainable muck. Not that Ashley or Bruce care. Like I said...I've yet to see them and think they deserved a single point. No doubt they'll pump us comfortably and end that run which will be a treat for us all.
  21. They've done it again Absolutely terrible. Haven't seen them deserve a point.
  22. We're absolutely going down. Dean has made many selection errors and doesn't know what he's doing with anything apart from 433 IMO. He's learning this system himself right now. Brighton today were his wet dream, that's what he wants to build. The players given to him, Christ some are just honking. Wes, Trez, Nakamba, Konsa and Targett for around £65m. There's your problem. Big Sam keep us up? You're having a laugh. Klopp with Pep as assistant wouldn't keep this lot up. They would however probably set everything up around Grealish to give him a chance to save us. What's the point of having him stood out on the wing?
