Such a shame. He could very well be coming back to a team without Jack Grealish and without Dean Smith who both helped him massively. I sincerely hope he's coming back to a Premier League team.

At least we've started targeting the right players. The summer was the time annoyingly, it'll be harder to attract players from top divisions. We're an unattractive proposition right now. These players don't want to be playing in the championship in 8 months time.

Honestly I just can't believe how Villa this is. First time in months he's looked like he can play football and he's gone.

Meteoric rise. We probably could have signed him if we'd really pushed this summer. I think they'd have sold him for £10-15m.

Really pleased Smith was willing to change. At times we went between a 343 and a 352, with Jack right up as the striker. One thing we need to watch for is the number 10 area from the opposition. Because Mings sits deepest in the middle of the defence a hole can form behind the midfield, Jay Rodriguez picked up the ball time and time again there. Would suit McGinn so much this midfield two, very frustrating.

We're slight odds on to sign Bowen with serial liars and money grabbers Skybet. Not totally sold myself, not sure he's natural striker, been on the wing a lot this season. We should have got him in the summer instead of Trez.

Got through loads of work. Terrifying having him in possession. Never looks like he's got hold of the ball. Caught out a few times today trying to do the right thing and look for a pass. Just speed up a bit please Marvelous. Long over full backs into space isn't the worst ball you'll ever play if you're stuck.

Got bollocks. Always shows for the ball, love it. Played well and still has plenty he can improve on. Composed as anything until he's in front of goal. I don't think it'll take him too long to get the hang of that.

Swung in two fantastic crosses yep. Knew he was an option as holding mid, could have a poke at RB as well I think.

One lovely touch where he beat Mee all ends up. Tarkowski had to come and cover otherwise he was in. Made some good runs not found and didn't let that deter him. Similar to how Wes has been really, just doesn't have the ability we need but I admire the workrate.

Honestly **** him. So annoyed at that effort. How can that be good for the team to have him on the bench. Ghazi would have at least run around a bit. Absolute disgrace.

He hides all the time and doesn't provide a outball down the left if he can help it. He was OK today actually, well done Neil. They did have non-overlapper Phil Bardsley at RB and two left footed wingers who kept coming inside away from him though. I would happily bring anyone in for him next league game.

100% there was more willing to put the ball into touch today. Konsa, Mings and Hause all did it at times. Obviously it's not the end game, but it was a safer play in a team that needed points. I thought Hause was good yes.

He'd start for in midfield for Liverpool, he'd start on the wing (or midfield!) for City. You have to say that makes him one of the better players in the world. He's absolutely top top level, Christ what a sad day when he leaves. For the first time in about a year he missed a decent pass today, went left to Luiz/Wes when Trez was in on the right early second half. -
That Forest game was an abomination. He let in every shot. Can't remember think it's the first and the last that should have been stopped, definitely the last one. Could have done something for Lolley's as well. Good with his feet, he had work to do everywhere else. Hope he's been working on it all during some time out the team. Playing behind Mings will be nicer for him.

This could relegate us. He pulls off saves you don't expect anyone to make. Match winners. Point winners. Didn't look too bad to me, can't even see where he injures himself. Hoping he jarred it or something. This is devastating. Nyland's distribution is better no question. He's fantastic off both feet.

I don't think he was too bad. Second half was an onslaught. I'd have him in the team definitely. Either RWB or LWB ahead of Taylor if you want to switch it up.

That's by a country mile his best game. Controlled the ball a lot, fought for it when he lost it.
