  1. Fair. Wes was the error rather than Samatta being essential. We'd be safe, I'm certain.
  2. Last year he never wanted the ball when someone else had it and was absolutely terrified when it did find it's way to him. Funny that he made it onto the pitch in almost every game at the end of the season. Was horrible on a consistent basis. Must leave and figure himself out. We're too big for him at the moment, he's being suffocated. Same as Enda Stephens who was terrified every time he stepped foot on the pitch when he was here.
  3. Miracle for me sir. I've got belief in about five players being up for tough matches, and that's all we have left. We've got worse and worse. Break flukily came at a great time for us which is a bonus. Win first up be great. Sheff U also thinking that with Champions League very possible for them.
  4. He's been really good every appearance I think. Has good understanding and always knows what he should be doing it different situations. Certain we'd be safe if we'd signed him August. Need something special from probably more than one player if we're going to pull off this miracle.
  5. I can hear Woodward opening his wallet for this world class CB on a free from here
  6. I don't want him anywhere near midfield. I want him right up front where we can hit him with clearances and he causes mayhem. Every time the ball is near him the game becomes messy and awkward, let's use that and have confusion up in the opposition half when they aren't setup properly. Doesn't matter who he's playing against he still seems to knock seven bells out of them, don't know where he hides his muscle. Burnley would be mad to not pick him up if he has another quiet season next year.
  7. It's funny how little Smith rates him. Brentford must have been wetting themselves when we paid £12m for him.
  8. Convinced he can be an effective player. This end of season is huge for him because he can jump ahead of Wes in the pecking order. Also if he has a good 6 months he'll be in a great position to get a fat contract off someone.
  9. Rough guess.... Looks like more of a first XI at Villa Park Villa 0-1 Leicester Hause McGinn Luiz El Ghazi Grealish Samatta Leicester 0-3 Villa Nyland Elmo #5 Who the hell is this? Lansbury? Jack Clarke or Jake Walker maybe? Mungo Bridge? - There's some very large hair at the back on that Trez goal. Targett Drinkwater Hourihane Jota Trezeguet Vassilev Davis
  10. All of mine were transfers except Koch sir!
  11. Would have been exactly the sort of bastard we've lack.
  12. Why only transfers to the PL? That's killing my fun. No one else had to sign at least 10 players, they already all had squads better than our 8 or 9 men or whatever we had left What about players that were achievable and moved for these prices? I'm doing it anyway, you can't stop me. ST - Osimhen from Charleroi £10m We signed Wes for double the money from the same league, horrifying LB/RW - Skov from Copenhagen £9m LW/RW - Kostic from Hamburg £5.4m I'll leave Konsa in for £12m as I'm doing OK and I like him. Can switch him out for Cahill I suppose. CB - Koch from Freiburg for anything under £25m to stay under the £63m those lot cost. All gettable in July last year, all a lot better than what we're stuck with. I've cherry picked there, but there was many alternative ways to spend the £120m we have and it was possible to have been comfortable this year with a base of Heaton, Mings, McGinn and Grealish. As it is, we're likely going down mostly because of recruitment IMO. The manager definitely has faults but has been given little to no chance this season.
  13. If opposition fans hated his hair before, goodness me. Love it, utterly magnificent.
  14. That's a positive outlook which I admire but disagree with. For example there's no way he signed Marvelous over someone he thought was a better player for a similar price because Marv would stay should we go down. I just think sign the best players you can within your budget, we didn't do that. Suso filtered what agents sent his way and signed plenty of sub-standard players for far too much money. Trez, Wes, Targett, Konsa and Engels for over £60m? Silly silly spending.
  15. Be so good if they start getting the points their performances have deserved and that puts it to bed. Don't fancy paying £300m for a Championship side.
  16. Would not be surprised to see him starting.
  17. IMO we shouldn't be giving Suso praise for signings players not good enough to keep us up, and not good enough for anyone to want. Not following you. Do you mean the mindset of players signed? None seem like dicks no, not at all. Not sure some of them have the drive required though. Forget the rubbish ones, there's huge question marks over the talented players like Targett, El Ghazi, Luiz. It was a poor poor summer and it's a massive shame because it's going to cost us keeping Jack Grealish.
  18. Perhaps not Nyland, but I'm sure that'll be the outfield 10.
  19. One of the many upsides to villa winning is they disappear for a few days until we next have a negative result.
  20. I'd much rather have O'Hare in the team v Sheff Utd than Trezo.
  21. Davis should try to play like Heskey! Shame he doesn't atm. Just get right up on the last man and cause some damage Kei.
  22. Safe to say that's as incorrect as it comes. People will be revising their opinion of Grealish all over the place whenever he moves on and is the best player at Man Utd or wherever. Can't believe I haven't thought that before, or even read it anywhere. Fantastic shout. I'd be looking to do that first game back, especially v a physical Sheff U. ----- I think O'Hare a fairly good player but he'll likely not fulfill much here. He needs to leave and perhaps develop up past us, it'll only happen with minutes. I would be happy to give him a deal and loan him out again next year, don't think the club are interested.
  23. Hope so. Penny never really dropped with him that he's not better than all his opponents this season and despite his goals he continually struggled all the way up to getting injured IMO. It was highlighted how much better he still was than all our other midfielders when we totally collapsed. Hopefully he's taken from Jack's comeback last season. That's what can be done, it's possible. Can't see anything other than relegation myself. We'll need John right at it to have any chance. I know he'll give it a go.
