  1. Is the whole ground open or just certain sections? If the whole ground is open then thats amazing.
  2. As so many have said, it's nice to be able to watch this relegation scrap from afar. With Arsenal v Palace to come here are the latest odds after this w/e matches.
  3. Watched the Southampton game last night and they were dire. It reminded me of us when we were sleepwalking to relegation without a hope. Latest odds after last nights games. I'm surprised that Palace are not shorter than 11/2
  4. bookies have us as the outsiders at 9/4....West Ham are 13/10 our record against them is appalling, another one for UE to break this will be a tough test
  5. Not sure how many Emi has at the moment....
  6. Shame the dog heads won on Saturday...**** useless Spuds latest odds
  7. In no particular order... Manure Liverpool Chelsea Dirty Leeds Man City
  8. Lads....if your'e on twitter, it's time to do your thing what an absolute plonker Tom Dross is putting in an option of 1-6th EDIT; and 7-13th
  9. It was also noticeable just before the goal. Martinez was playing it around trying to open Place up and you could hear the groans from the crowd. We then open them up and bang, it's a goal. While the players are also learning the UE way of playing i think the crowd need to have a little more patience. Although thats easier said then done. I was 'lucky' enough to be sat next to someone who i can only imagine does moaning for a living. She was non stop throughout the game. I had to tell her to give her head a wobble. The game was pretty much a non event. But we deserved the 3 points. Palace are a team going nowhere and it must be difficult watching them week in week out. But we've been there ourselves. Onwards and upwards.
  10. That's a common theme with the teams down there. A lack of goals being scored. Everton, Forest struggle to score. So do Wolves. Southampton and Bournemouth look doomed. There is always one team that seems to pull some results out of nowhere and climb to safety. I can see Everton scraping a few 1 nil wins at home with Dyche in charge. If they score first they will do what Dyche's teams do and park the bus. I would love to see the dogheads get dragged down there. They are similar to Leeds. For all the huff and puff. They struggle to put the ball in the net. West Ham will pull away now Ings is there. Leicester score enough to win matches and Palace eke out enough draws. Latest odds have Southampton and Bournemouth as certs and then Everton, Leeds, Forest and the Dogheads next.
  11. I'd say over optimistic. The form of there last 10 away matches is not exactly inspiring. (9PL games & 1 Cup game) W 2 - D 3 - L 5 They've only scored more than 1 goal twice in that sequence and that was in the 2 wins, 2-0 v Bournemouth and 2-1 v West Ham and they'ver failed to score in 6 of those matches!! They've only beaten us twice at VP in the last 19 matches stretching back to 1989. You have to go back 6 matches to 2013 the last time they beat us at VP. the time before that was way back in 1991. I know we've been very generous of late at home, but they are nothing special and from what i've seen they are not great up front. I think it's us Villa fans that should be the optimistic ones for this match. click here for the stats
  12. Jim Lewis, 88, owner of Best Mate and a big Villa fan too HEITS
  13. whats funny @TRO you are very good at responding to so many posts with prophetic answers... i ask a question have you ever been in the match thread....and??? come on chap, you are better than that...
  14. Of course people are entitled to their opinion. It's what makes for a healthy debate. But, have you ever been in the match thread and seen some of the comments? When we are not playing well or someone is having an off day It's borderline mass hysteria then, on the other hand, when we are winning, all of a sudden it's Europe here we come. I for one don't bother with it now.
  15. coming back to Brum from sunny Devon for this as i purchased a membership and managed to get tickets for it. Really looking forward to a rare visit to VP since i moved away from Brum. Don't let me down Unai/Villa, you can do it against this lot. UTV
  16. it's the same as Talkshite....liberate yourself and don't bother with it some people really need to give their head a wobble
  17. great win, well happy....i can watch MOTD again. I thought Mings was immense today and he gets my motm vote as a side note, i'm glad we are still voting for a man of the match and none of this player of the match bollocks on the tv
  18. This made me chuckle... worth a watch...but if at work mind the volume with the language...
