  1. I do wonder if theres anything, with the Cuellar RB thing, if theres something in an idea I've mused about a few times. I think O'Neill views the wing as a good place to learn things from. Gabby was shoved out there for a season and learnt a lot, got games. Cuellar got shoved out there last season and seems to have benefitted a fair bit, his passing isn't great still but it was worse last season (he's now a 3 in 4 success passer) and his control has come along too. And he's gotten used to the league out there. Maybe some of the times NRC was put out there was to make him learn...
  2. What happens if a massive atheist manages to fall in love a religious person and they get married and the religious side of the relationship wants the full shebang, bloke in a dress, presence of the big imaginary friend, the lot? Does the atheist go along with it all the whilse stood there thinking 'Bullshit, bullshit... argh I'm such a hypocrite'. Or just go along with it without a care? Or does it become a bigger issue than that?
  3. I use the same contact lens cases as the fictional character Jason Bourne. ...yeah.
  4. You should check her out Rob, from what Google showed me she's probably your kinda lady.
  5. I put Cuellar as MOTM. I thought he was pretty damn good today. Closely followed you'll be glad to know by Petrov.
  6. Looks vile. And the drink's not much better. ...I'm here all week, try the fish. Seriously though, expect your PM inbox to get a hammering if everything is right with the internets.
  7. Not hideous, but porn star would be right
  8. Surprised theres not been more talk of the ref actually. Apparently it's really, really difficult to foul a Villa player. Asides from that... reactions. Friedel - 6 - Couple of good saves first half, could have done better for the second goal I think. Cuellar - 8 - MOTM for me. Really good performance going forwards and defending. Warnock - 6 - Could have gotten forward a bit more. Dunne - 5 - Not his day today at all, lost Cahill for the first. Collins - 6 - Nothing spectacular. Young - 6 - Deliveries were largely dire again, but some nice play first half and instrumental in the 90th min OG Downing - 6 - If he'd have kept that first 20min performance up he'd have steamrollered the MOTM for me. As it was he faded and his crossing went wayward. It's strange, I think he generally puts in pretty good deliveries until he cocks one up, then they're all poor. When it is a good one though, it's a really good one. And he isn't worse than Balaban, shock horror *rolly ete thingy* Milner - 6 - Not his best game, targetted by Everton again. Petrov - 7 - Quality shines through, good game. Gabby - 7 - Hard to shine with no service, but had a couple of good touches and runs. Nice header for the first. Carew - 6 - Like Gabby it's difficult to do well with no service, but the wild lash really sums it up, should do so much better. Delfouneso - 6 - He's got quality about him and I think he will be an asset in the future because he's got that difference in style. But not ready yet still for me. It wasn't a bad performance for me, we tried initially to play differently, more possession more passing but there wasn't enough bite to it. when that comes it'll be great. It's also worth saying that with those ratings, had our deliveries been better, I could have seen pretty much all of those marks go up at least 1. We'll have worse games. And Everton are a hateful team. I hope Young gives Pienaar's balls a bit more of a belting next time.
  9. Seemed to have better control and dribbling. Still prone to some very wayward crosses or passes. I thought his passing was genuinely good tonight. I might have missed some terrible ones I guess but he looked pretty comfortable all over the shop. Including a brilliant moment were he was the furthest forward player in the first half on the right wing, made me smile. Keep it up Carlos.
  10. Who?! I thought that. Google Images enlightened me. Not something to check at work.
  11. Anyone think Cuellar was pretty good today?
  12. I can't say I saw that Chindie. It looked very much like the old 'get it wide and whip it in' to me. I suppose the fullbacks were looking for a pass into the striker's feet rather than hoofing it deep, other than that I didn't notice much difference? First 20 saw us much more keen to maintain possession and play nicer football imo. After we went behind the wheels fell off a bit and we reverted to a kind of bastardisation of trying to play and our usual stuff, which doesn't seemingly work. IMO. I can add some expletives if you like?
  13. Had draw written all over it. Performance from both sides was probably worthy of the draw imo. We seem to be trying to play a bit more to me, and it's not quite working yet. It's fine when we're not losing. And goes a bit iffy when we are.
  14. It's funny what a few poor deliveries will do for the perception of you.
  15. I thought we've played pretty well. But for some absurd marking we'd be in a better position. Cuellar, Petrov, Downing in the opening 25 or so, have all looked very good. But for 2 good saves we're away in this match. Can't really blame anyone for that. Except for Dunne's moment of lax thinking.
  16. I don't think you can really blame Cuellar there, it's a good save. Going to be one of those nights.
  17. ...reckon they've had a bet on who can score a screamer in training or something?
  18. Petrovs been quality. And Downing looks well up for it when he's got the ball.
  19. How the hell has Friedel held onto that?!
  20. Brilliant, brilliant football and what a save.
