  1. You registered your dissatisfaction in the system. You took part. They count spoilt ballots as well.
  2. Not exactly a classic Lambo in anything other than age there Mahoney.
  3. The Special Relationship isn't what it once was. And it's irresponsible to rely on our allies for the long term. The update of Trident will make it viable for the next 40 years, a lot can happen in that time. It's for precisely that reason that we have to have to maintain the deterrant. Yes it's expensive and not popular but in a changable world climate, we need to prepare for the worst and in a world that has nuclear arms, we need them.
  4. No change, spoilt ballot. But Clegg impressed by a country mile. Cameron, nah, even less convinced. Brown did much better than expected. (And ITVs Bolton lot are **** easily impressed).
  5. why? we will never ever need them or use them Nuclear arms are bought not to use. You have them to discourage rather than actively use. Haven't we already got some? Out of date IIRC.

  7. Clegg impressed me as well, much much mroe than I expected actually. I thought he was a bit.. meh, tonight he really did well. Only thing I wasn't terribly impressed by is the Trident cut, I'm not for that whatsoever. Surprised how well Brown did as well. Cameron. Well... it's a good front, I suppose. For some.
  8. Dissertation, done, get the **** in! And like every one of my essays ever, just sneaking into the length restrictions at the low end. Wahey.
  9. Thats far to soft Darren, I've heard there'll be rifles on standby.
  10. No the Chancellors debate allowed the audience to, in some way, partake by registering their approval. However the Tories (IIRC) moaned that there was a bias in the clapping to Cable, and that him being stood in the middle made him look reasonable. So no clapping, no nothing. Tisn't fair. I can only assume they'll solve the problem of someone being stood in the middle by arranging the three of them in a triangle or something.
  11. This debate is going to be quite bizarre. They've banned clapping. A solemn room of people is going to watch, silently, as 2 men in cultural uniform lie to each other whilst maintaining smiles and calm tones, while another stands there occasionally interjecting. It's going to be like some bizarre religious ritual.

    Smoking?

I've got no problem if people want to smoke, I just prefer it if people don;t around me as I can't stand smoke around me. I just really don't understand why anyone would want to. It's got nothing going for it. The first time you drew on one, you most likely coughed and spluttered. There's a reason for that. It's your body telling you 'No, do not want'. Don't think I'll ever see the appeal.

    Smoking?

You actually are putting yourself at risk with every smoke you have. It's true that cancer is a disease essentially caused by a fault of our biology (its almost inevitable you will get some form of it eventually, generally something else will get you first however), however it is possible to exacerbate that fault, and to an extent cause it. Smoking, and more specifically the chemicals you take into your respiratory system from it, often causes the flaw of cell reproduction to be encouraged that causes cancer. So, while you would almost certainly eventually get some form of cancer in life, assuming you lived long enough, smoking is simple increasing your chances of getting some specific types. EDIT - And a lot of em ain't pretty.

    Smoking?

Vile habit, anti-social in my opinion these days more than anything, makes you stink, wastes your money eventually may kill you. Having had friends that did the 'smoking for the enjoyment of smoking' thing, seeing them try to quit, even managing for a while but inevitably giving in once more, is vaguely pathetic. Mugs game.
  15. Cuellar was up and down the wing a helluva lot tonight POB though. A few times he was one of the furthest forward on the right. His crossings not the best but I do think tonight he was better, he plays the ball on the ground a lot more than punt it in which more than once our forwards have spun a defender and latched onto. I dunno what got into him tonight but he really was good imo. He looked like a much more comfortable RB than usual. Which is surprising given the fact Everton are no push over.
  16. I fully advocate him doing it harder next time.
  17. I do wonder if theres anything, with the Cuellar RB thing, if theres something in an idea I've mused about a few times. I think O'Neill views the wing as a good place to learn things from. Gabby was shoved out there for a season and learnt a lot, got games. Cuellar got shoved out there last season and seems to have benefitted a fair bit, his passing isn't great still but it was worse last season (he's now a 3 in 4 success passer) and his control has come along too. And he's gotten used to the league out there. Maybe some of the times NRC was put out there was to make him learn...
  18. What happens if a massive atheist manages to fall in love a religious person and they get married and the religious side of the relationship wants the full shebang, bloke in a dress, presence of the big imaginary friend, the lot? Does the atheist go along with it all the whilse stood there thinking 'Bullshit, bullshit... argh I'm such a hypocrite'. Or just go along with it without a care? Or does it become a bigger issue than that?
  19. I use the same contact lens cases as the fictional character Jason Bourne. ...yeah.
  20. You should check her out Rob, from what Google showed me she's probably your kinda lady.
  21. I put Cuellar as MOTM. I thought he was pretty damn good today. Closely followed you'll be glad to know by Petrov.
  22. Looks vile. And the drink's not much better. ...I'm here all week, try the fish. Seriously though, expect your PM inbox to get a hammering if everything is right with the internets.
