  1. No idea if it's been mentioned, but theres talk of an insurance tax rise that had my brother in a tizzy earlier, which I've not noticed too much talk of in the papers.
  2. Put in in the freezer Wait til its starts to thicken, then drink. Makes poor drinks taste better Duly noted. Best cider I've had remains Old Rosie, that stuff is a drink that lets you know you're drinking and tells you'll either enjoy yourself or not remember enough to know if you didn't.
  3. I've got a shitload of plastic bottle Bulmers still left but the stuff is the De'els urine. It's not even fit to follow the fish fingers potatoes and parsley sauce my mom managed to serve up earlier, bless her, can't cook.
  4. Have a stab in the dark what else features fairly heavily in that playlist of mine... In the Waiting Line is just... well.. effortless.
  5. :notworthy: TOOOOON! In fact I may have to dig out the Richest Man in Babylon for a listen tomorrow. It's been too long. It's part of my summer chilled playlist, I look forward to those evenings like this where I can dig it out and it can completely match the laid back atmospherics as the sun sets and sky goes red. Tune and a half.
  6. And followed by something completely different, and featuring a Brummie best of all... Spencer Davis Group - Keep On Running.
  7. Continuing in my occasional forays into interesting cover versions a cover of the very good song by Joy Divison, done with New Order, that should be familiar to fans of the film Heat. Tisn't bad, for a change.
  8. By releasing those details, haven't they just buggered the point of the anonymity he has?
  9. Always been a fan of Boosts. And Whole Nut has to be in there as the classic favourite.
  10. Once I'd found where the cougars were, I found it quite easy. Softened up with the basic handgun as per Nayson's suggestion, then used a medikit if I got charged by the cougar. Few swipes of the knife = a dead kitty cat. Thats more or less what I did. Wandered round south of Blackwater on my horse waiting to come across a cougar, hit dead-eye, pop 2 in it's back with the pistol, and then it's a case of catching the damn thing as it runs away. That was the awkward part! As was the wandering round trying to find one.
  11. Just bought the buffalo rifle, shoot my first couple of bears, and done the train bird shooting sharpshooter challenge. The killing cougars with a knife challenge was beyond a pain in the arse, took me about an hour of singlemindedly trying to do it. Much of that involved trying to get cougars to attack me.
  12. If it helps ease your mind further Mike, you're more likely to die in a drowning in a public toilet than in an international terrorist incident*. *At least you would be if you/they where American and the year wasn't 2001 >_>
  13. It is a requirement of all British army armoured vehicless to have a 'BV', or bivvie, a boiling vessel used to heat up rations and make tea.
  14. The different variations of string theory in general require the universe to have more than 4 dimensions. One in fact posits that there are 26. I'm not even going to pretend I understand anything of string theory, but I do know the above is apparently the case. Get your head round that.
  15. I just don't like the Sacha Baron Cohen style of comedy, so I'd rather watch something else. Probably will in a bit.
  16. I've never watched Borat or Bruno and have no intention to. Apparently this makes me odd.
  17. Might go and sign on this week.
  18. Skip back through the thread, it's been done a couple of times. Looks good to be fair. Shouldn't be too far back. And apparently our kit is based on the Dutch one so you should get a good idea.
  19. I do think it's a shame that Birmingham has lost it's manufacturing roots. I mean theres some still left, which apparently has seen a bit of a boost recently I saw on the news, but back in the day we made everything. It's what made this area great - if we didn't make it, it weren't worth making. It's a shame to lose that. I know why it's happened, it's cheaper elsewhere and not everyone wants to work in a factory, in fact it's probably a pretty shit life. But surely we could still make some things, even if it's just picking up the lower end of society as a workforce. And it's happened so quickly, as shambles says there are many, many people whose trade in this area, even 10 years ago, was manufacturing, shop floor work, all they know. I honestly couldn't tell you what 'Birminghams trade' is now. Perhaps now is the time to look back at what this area was good at, and given all the other problems this planet, look for an opportunity to reignite that skill for industry in much of Birmingham and see what we can do in a new area. Green solutions for instance - we need to start looking at renewable energy sources seriously, and Britain needs a foothold there. Could (or would... sadly) someone look at Birmingham and the West Midlands and see a workforce ready and able and used to high level manufacture to enter that kind of field? The problems this planet has right now present opportunities for us... It needs someone to see them however.
  20. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son Truly iconic.
