  1. No you couldn't. Anywho, we're still apparently doing well. Cuellar just had a header over.
  2. I still don't think he was that bad at RB.
  3. Cuellars brilliant. But more evidence to take SGC's comments with a tub of table salt.
  4. dun't no wut ur tlkn bout jon
  5. Dear oh dear, and you a graduate! Genuine mistake that one  I sure as **** know the difference between he's and his.
  6. Looks like his giving Albrighton the green light to impress in these friendlies.
  7. Per Kroldrup remains one of the worst buys in Prem history I think.
  8. AV Clubs 50 Best Films of the Noughties Some crackers in there. And some I now will be looking forward to adding to my movie wishlist. Seen 21 of them that I can remember.
  9. Mogwai - Mogwai Fear Satan 16 minutes of brilliance.
  10. The BNP have stronger links to the Conservative Party in my view. As much as I dislike both parties, the BNP are not closer to the Conservatives - they embody pretty much everything the Conservatives hate - big state, big spending, socialism. They're abundantly left asides from the hating everyone who isn't white, or straight, or a BNP voter, or on a different mobile phone tariff* or.... *with thanks to Charlie Brooker/'Barry Shitpeas'
  11. One of my favourite songs ever, that. Currently listening to something that might be familiar to anyone who's watched a bit of telly lately, or really likes Nikon cameras. Radical Faces - Welcome Home, Son
  12. A friend of mine refers to SWP as a glove puppet. It seems vaguely fitting. He's about as useful as well.
  13. I can vaguely remember some episodes, but before my time. I always thought it took the rules of the world with an enormous pinch of salt, like only TV can.
  14. Pff, flat earther Apparently it is true however, the tech involved in making a helicopter fly is pretty much at the top end of it's ability, and has been for a while - they can only go so quick, and the record (a, cough, British one ) will likely continue to stand. It's already been unbeaten for 24 years, and the only way they got it to go that quick was to strip it out to the point it wouldn't be much use for anything other than going quickly. Surprising how limited helicopters are.
  15. I'm not lying. I'm just having to make write it in such a way that, for example, doing teamwork presentations in seminars at uni are a bit more than just that - they've improved my delegation and organisational skills with a number of people from wildly differing backgrounds, nationalities and personalities, and hones my ability to present complex ideas and issues in a confident, succinct and articulate manner. Or on my work experience placement how I was working both as part of an admin team in a busy vibrant office, and also working outside of the office as part of a sampling team and a verification team, giving me time face to face with the clients customers, often in their own home, allowing me to practice and develop a good manner with customers whilst also efficiently completing the task at hand and fielding their queries. Which is all true. However I'd not normally say that, I'd just say I'd done some team work tasks within a seminar at uni. Or I'd had work experience at a company in their office as well as their frontline services. I'm having to sell it a lot more. Theres not a single lie in it thanks.
  16. A couple of Brazilians I spoke to mentioned that the Brazil cap thing is effectively a scam by agents. They suggest their client that might be alright gets a cap to get him noticed in some random friendly/nothing game, sold on to a European team for a fair old whack, agent laughs all the way to the bank.
  17. Having to rewrite my CV at the mo. It's **** terrible. I'm having to make a helluva lot of nothing. The only experience I have was the standard 2 weeks before your GCSEs, that was 6 years ago... I'm having to make that sound like an enormously brilliant deal, whislt conveniently neglecting to mention it was 2 weeks 6 years ago. I feel like I'm lying practically. And you should see how much I'm bigging up uni experience. I've somehow managed to make being a member of a society (just a member, a regular and reliable one, but nothing more) sound alright. I feel dirty.
  18. according to what? buying Heskey in Jan 09 when we needed a top striker to aid our CL challenge? buying nobody last Jan? Please enlighten me Ambition is tempered by the realities of the situation you find yourself in. This Jan for example, it's pretty obvious we'd not got the funds for players one way or another. You may have noticed that's hungover to now. I think O'Neill has the ambition to do things and succeed. He may go about doing so in his own way, but if he wasn't ambitious I don't think he'd be in the current job. It's just something you can tell about the man, and sometimes what he says. It's clear now that his foremost thoughts are of realities, but I daresay he's still has thoughts of achieving a lot. He just, currently, can't.
  19. I'd say that one thing O'Neill almost undoubtedly is is ambitious, myself.
  20. Expensive toiletries bag I'd imagine.
  21. I always thought that was because they originally named it in English because they intended it to be their breakthrough game in the US so named it for it's prime market, then translated back to English? For what it's worth, I think the story of Miyamoto wanting a word associated with stubborn and going with Donkey is probably correct, but I'm sure it was supposed to have been named in English first.
  22. Wut I'm chatting is theres a big difference between Milner, who did do some defensive work and has something about him (and still left Petrov with an arseload of work), and Young, who is about 9 stone and for all the defensive work he can do on the wing, isn't cut out for CM. Petrov would be in a bodybag by Christmas, and thats from someone who thinks this stuff about him being knackered on 60mins is balls.
  23. Children who couldn't walk would breeze through that midfield like it wasn't there. A Premier League team witha decent midfield? Well, I suppose 'lol' suffices.
