  1. Petrov was simply immense, easiest MOTM I could ever think of for me. He needed to bring out a storming performance and it's exactly what he did. The amount of clean vital tackles and harrying he got through was incredible, and coupled to the fact he was playing great little passes and also the more expansive visionary balls when needed, a proper captains performance. Cuellar came closest to him, who time and again made vital blocks challenges and touches that saved us.
  2. Petrov MOTM for me, with Cuellar and Collins also tussling for it. I don't think the team was right and I still think we're flawed but thank **** that win. We won't be able to do that every week, and I hope we don't have to. We don't make enough chances and waste possession in good positions far too easily.
  3. In the stands. It's had it's moments where it's been first rate, but then for long periods it's just gone flat. Perhaps I've just noticed more than usual.
  4. Weird atmosphere in this game, incredibly flat. It's almost palpably anxious somehow.
  5. A lot better than I expected but still it isn't quite right. We're disciplined and looked reasonably comfortable until Citeh bothered to turn up, but we just create enough still for me. Petrov's been the player of the half, he's been first rate. He's needed to be to be fair. Great in possession some fantastic passes (that sweeping ball out to Gabby on the left, inch perfect and made a chance for us from being under pressure) and most of all, some great tackles, clean and committed. The left side is all wrong though. Gabby is no winger, not by any means, and Clark really doesn't do himself any favours at LB. We need to take the discipline that we've got and start to make Citeh worry. At the moment any passage of play for us is a case of Citeh waiting till we gift the ball to them. Obvious congrats to Bent, how longs it been since we've had a proper poacher? And Cuellar too, he mightn't be a natural RB but he covers the defence so well, master of the diving block/tackle.
  6. If we're seeing Gabby being played as a genuine winger again, especially on the left, I'll be depressed.
  7. I don't. Bent doesn't do partnerships and Gabby has pretty much always looked more comfortable doing things on his own because he's too thick to read runs or make them himself.
  8. That team has disaster written all over it. I mean I rate Petrov but he can't do all the donkey work in that midfield, he'll have a heart attack.
  9. Oh get over yourself, whatever I think of this has the sum total of the square root of **** all to do with your thoughts on it.
  10. An anthem is something that arises naturally. This isn't. It won't work. Besides, we've already got anthems - no one sings them in their entirety, few people care.

    Top Gear

They'd need to make a u-turn on battery powered electric cars then. It's not even actually an electric car tbf, it's a hybrid. EDIT - Saying that, it's a nice looking thing. got a hint of the XJ220 about it.

    Top Gear

Given Top Gears well known disdain for concept cars, and especially Jag concept cars, I'm surprised they're looking at it in any depth.
  13. Ocarina of Time isn't a launch title, in the UK at least. The launch line up is fairly shite, Street Fighter being the main title to get interest atm. I think the 3DS may sell well eventually but I can't even see the hardcore Nintendo fanbase keeping the thing going over here anyway from an early adopter point of view - the price and problems will see to that. The price verges on obscene, especially when you consider that given Nintendos current business strategy is to make money on consoles, I'd be very keen to see how much profit is in there. Software prices might nobble it too.. I really dont see it being the raving success the DS was at more or less any point in its life without it becoming immesnely cheaper and improved - better battery life, better viewing angles on the 3D, homogenised 3D optimisation etc etc.
  14. The push for these things has begun, what do we all think? Glasses free 3D, pretty damn good graphics, fully backwards compatable with old DS games, accelerometer, takes 3D pictures, etc etc. It's also £230(!), and has an 8 hour battery life at best, the 3D tech goes out of whack if you go even a tad off centre with it and it gives you an awful headache in the first few uses, amongst other problems. I just can't see this continuing the massive hit the DS has been.
