Not true. The V8 has a F1 style front nose wing, and from the episode it looked pretty damn low to me. The normal Atom just has it's pointy front end.

The only rule for power laps is the car has to be road legal. Not the case - they ditched the Caparo T1 for not being able to go over a speed bump despite total street legality, with Clarkson specifically saying that they'd never allow a car that couldn't go over a 'sleeping policeman' on the board.
  3. Not at all. Lamination connotes bonded layers. If I blu-tak two sheets of writing paper together, have I laminated them? No. If I make the bed, and lay the top sheet on the bottom sheet, have I laminated them? **** hope not. Lamination involves putting two layers together, but it doesn't follow that every instance of putting two layers together is lamination. PS - I am open to correction by anyone who has more than a seven-year-old's understanding of science. I think lamination means the process of creating a material from 2 layers of material that subsequently acts as one. Which a 2+ ply piece of loo roll matches - the plys form a single sheet and act together unless pulled apart. I don't think theres any connotation of bonding as such, just that the seperate layers have to be connected and working as a single material .
  4. Nope I definitely mean laminated. To laminate something is to put more than 2 layers of a material together, which is exactly what most loo roll does.
  5. That reminds me, I need to try to get some of my tax back. I got put on emergency tax when I started work, which is a silly rate and can apparently claim it back.
  6. Towel, heater of some sort, and patience will soon solve your RRoD problem.

Well the new series started and it was... alright. Not the worst episode they've done, not the best. Interesting that the Atom was allowed to stay on the board, I'm not convinced that thing, with that nose, would go over a speed bump too crisply. It's becoming even more increasingly clear that the Star in the Reasonably Priced Car segment needs to kick the bucket. Also that Jags in depth look was a 2 minute 'Ooooo shiny' fest that was desperate to ignore the fact it's battery powered.
  8. 'King kenny. King kenny king kenny king kenny. King, kenny. King kenny? King kenny. King kenny king kenny king kenny king kenny, king kenny, king kenny! ...King kenny! King kenny king kenny. King kenny'. Anything related to Liverpool at the moment on the telly is like a Kenny Dalglish flavoured version of that scene in Being John Malkovich.
  9. Well tbf there were years when the diameter of your ass is less than that of the toilet so it's a fear and a balancing act It is this unspoken, unknown fear that fuels the developed worlds fat children problem, clearly.
  10. Re. Ref:123456789 - Sales Assistant Dear Sir or Madam Gissa job. Yours sincerely Yosser Hughes.
  11. First post Dem Completely backwards compatable with old DS titles. Only things it doesn't work entirely with is anything that used the GBA port on the older DS models, like the Guitar Hero games on it, because it doesn't have that port.
  12. I don't like him on the left at all, he's a red card waiting to happen there.
  13. Hate that too. If that happens I have to dig through the layers to get to a proper fully laminated layer again. The feel of the pull of the sheet when it isn't properly laminated puts my teeth on edge for some reason.
  14. Next sheet nearest the sitter. It being the other way is one of those things that really annoys me for some reason, I have to turn it the right way round if put on otherwise.
  15. A number of documents relating to the peace process in the 'Holy Land' got leaked and the Guardian have got hold of them. It's big news because a lot of what has gone through those negotiations have never been revealed and also a lot of the things mooted that have been leaked are quite controversial, particularly in quite how much the Palestinian Authority were prepared to give up in some cases (Jerusalem being the main one so far).
  16. Agreed. I do think he'll fit in nicely once he gets a feel for the league. Said a couple of times that he's the type of midfielder that comes to the Prem and gets sent off very early on in their career as they make a reckless challenge due to bad timing/positioning/'over exuberance', I won't be surprised to see him do the same before the end of the season. Once he does settle and get a grasp of our leagues style, he'll be very useful and suit it to the ground.
  17. Was going to er... 'suggest' the same myself.
  18. No, as Gabby and Bent aren't the same player clearly, they've never even attempted to play in the same manner. Makoun, when doing the more disciplined role, plays like NRC tries to. You'd need to have watched them both to understand it. There was no sarcasm there, I know your friend Nigel needs defending at all times, but I said that as a straight faced statement of fact, no bile or humour to it. It's not an echo of Woodytom either - I was one of the first people to say that of Makoun from the moment we were linked months ago.
  19. He's the bargain basement, homebrand Essien - same kinda thing, but not the same quality. Can play as a traditional DM with discipline but also do the all action thing. He basically is what NRC thinks he is.
  20. Touch typing whilst very tired and not bothering to check the spelling.
  21. Dzeko will be class once he gets into form and gets used to the league. You have to remember he's only just moved here gtom a very figgerent league and on the back of a month long break too. When he gets going, unfortunately for the rest of the league, he'll be a success. He's a brilliant player.
  22. Pretty much exactly my thinking. A good win and a better performance but still far from flawless imo.
  23. Petrov was simply immense, easiest MOTM I could ever think of for me. He needed to bring out a storming performance and it's exactly what he did. The amount of clean vital tackles and harrying he got through was incredible, and coupled to the fact he was playing great little passes and also the more expansive visionary balls when needed, a proper captains performance. Cuellar came closest to him, who time and again made vital blocks challenges and touches that saved us.
  24. Petrov MOTM for me, with Cuellar and Collins also tussling for it. I don't think the team was right and I still think we're flawed but thank **** that win. We won't be able to do that every week, and I hope we don't have to. We don't make enough chances and waste possession in good positions far too easily.
