  1. ...The first hour of this is barking mad in the best way.
  2. 2 episodes in, Narcos is very, very good TV.
  3. Worldwide simultaneous release, tied into the standard Tuesday US release day.
  4. Lescott and done then, it's looking like? This is going to be a long season if that does become the case... There's not enough goals in this team, by a long shot, unless there a spectacular uplift in performances once the team settles.
  5. I'm hoping to get a couple of hours with it later, very much looking forward to it. Had it since Saturday but stupidly decided to polish off Batman completely before starting it. Riddler stuff has taken bloody ages... I've not seen a single bad word about it yet, which is very unusual. As a sequel to Place Walker I'm also left wondering how much you need to know about that game as I never bothered with it...
  6. Austin probably is AN answer, but it's one we can't take.
  7. Assuming Lescott comes in, we badly, badly need a good striker.
  8. I dunno where Spirits Within stands as a game movie... It's not an adaptation of a game, it's it's own weird thing, has the branding of an enormous game series but it's not based on a game itself... Not sure it counts.
  9. Has there ever been an exception to this? There's been so many that surely there's at least one passable one nestled away somewhere, but for the life of me I can't think of one. The original Mortal Kombat isn't a bad movie.
  10. Hmmmm. Not sure there are more than half a dozen of those in world football ! They don't need to be world class or whatever, I'm not saying we need to get another Benteke like for like, but there will be players out there that offer dynamism upfront. Someone who can mix up the different types of striker there are, able to poach as well as score screamers and link play. Tims approach seems to suggest he wants players that can bring more to the game than what a simple poacher might.
  11. Hernandez is a good finisher but we need a more rounded complete striker. We need someone who can conjure a goal from nothing and makes defence shit themselves whenever he's on the ball. Hernandez can't do that.
  12. The Assassins Creed movie will be a mess. Rather like the games plot. Civil War teams have been revealed...
  13. I don't think is ever been a thing outside the papers. Delighted to be wrong.
  14. I've seen a lot of people say that one you reach a certain point in the Witcher it becomes harder to go back to if you leave it. I experienced this a little with it when Arkham Knight came out by slogged through and got back into it. This MGS is very mission based apparently so the structure isn't the 8 hour movie belting along that MGS usually is so I distract you could dip in and out of it between Witcher sessions. In other news, people are getting this delivered today. Lucky bastards.
  15. You may as well ask if we'd take a Messi and Ronaldo pairing upfront in fairness, it's about as likely
  16. We're managed by a clown. Tactically moronic.
  17. A couple of the reviews have suggested that some missions would basically force you to approach them in an aggressive attack in which case you couldn't do a ghost run on the entire game it seems. Which is a departure for the series but then this whole game seems to be focused on bucking the trend for MGS.
  18. From what I've read, I wouldn't bother with that last bit...
  19. This reeks of an agent touting for interest in the market.
  20. I agree it misses the mark a fair bit but I think that's just the nature of that style of comedy. I don't like the dance bit either but I think it's funny more often than its not. Objectively, tell me why its not a better movie than any of those It's all just opinion. The imdb lost just suggests that it's a more well liked movie. Which is understandable.
  21. Guardians is another Marvel movie that steps away from the comic book standard fare. It's a pulpy sci fi comedy. Unlike Stevo985 I do think it's funny. Suffers from Marvel's usual underdeveloped villain syndrome but it's not really the point. Again worth your time. It basically realises it's dealing with really stupid characters (all of Marvel's cosmic stuff is inherently even more daft than usual in fairness) and just pisses around with the characters. It is also surprisingly emotional in a few scenes. Worth a watch alongside Winter Soldier, though very, very different movies. Whilst we're on Marvel, loads of Civil War tidbits have come out, including apparent confirmation Tony Stark had the Bleeding Edge armour in the movie, which would basically confirm him as the villain of the piece, as Bleeding Edge is so powerful it would be a bloody dull movie of he was the good guy in it. Also been confirmed Spidey has a significant scrap with someone. And interestingly Marvel have gone particularly secretive about the Spiderman costume for the movie. Usually costumes leak because the same places make different pieces and details come out. With the Spiderman costume Marvel have done it entirely in-house. They've spoken about the costume being classic but different to what we've seen before, which makes me think we might see the original web wing things. There also a rumour, like the original storyline, that Tony Stark will make him a suit...
  22. Slightly disappointed that the story had taken a real back seat this time (a complete reversal from the series usual makeup) because I do enjoy how mad MGS is. But everything else coming out suggests this is going to be incredible. Massive, open world, open tactics, great gameplay, meaningful reasons to do things in certain ways, lasting impact of your choices... I'm genuinely excited.
  23. Lescott would be a decent signing. He's still a good defender and he knows the Prem inside out. He's the right price. On the downside he has just turned 33, and he has suffered with injuries over the years (though isn't a sicknote). We could certainly do worse. Now, a striker please.
  24. Well worth a watch. It's one of the best comic book movies there is, has a tinge of 70s espionage thriller on top of the usual comic book movie fare. Really good movie. Some argue it's Marvel's best. Worth a watch.
