  1. I see the aussies have turned up to boo us. How boring. Anyway, thought we were the better side for the first 15, but flashes of Colombia counterattacking.
  2. OK Sweden picking things up a bit. I have no idea what Japan are trying to do at the moment.
  3. Making Kane, who has been with Spurs for 18 years, and scored 280 in 435, wait embarrassingly at an airport so he can renege on a deal is the most Levy thing ever. No one with any class should go anywhere near him.
  4. Japan and Sweden taking it in turns to have possession in their own defensive third. Man this tournament has been defensive.
  5. They better get a move on before Trump is voted in again. If Ukraine hasn't won by then, they're buggered.
  6. This. It's a different sport, almost. Just enjoy it for what it is. I was comparing the women's WC to the women's Euros. The Euros were amongst the most I've ever enjoyed an international tournament, Men or Women's. By that standard, this tournament has been a bit of a let down, although I will be honest the games taking place at 6-8am our time hasn't helped me get into the spirit of it.
  7. Dunno, been disappointed a bit tbh, especially after watching the Euros which were great.
  8. Yeah. I must say though, I just don’t get the cult of following just one player. It's a flipping team sport.
  9. Gutted for you, bud. I really wanted Jamaica to win.
  10. And by that I mean that they are cheating b***ards.
  11. I'm on holiday in Cornwall at the moment, and we usually see a good number of football shirts. Villa well represented as always, as are Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs. Dishearteningly there have also been some kids wearing Al Nassr shirts. I really hope this sportswashing league does not take off.
  12. Looks like the Colombian team, much like their male counterparts are not afraid to indulge in the dark arts.
  13. This is the mobile object versus the easily stoppable force.
  14. We've got no physicality or pace. The change in this team since the Euros is stark. And what was James thinking?
  15. If i've read it right, it'll be trialed in Sweden, Netherlands and Italy, but it was unclear if that was including top leagues, or just lower divs.
  16. So....25 minutes of injury time per half and players that can be nearly a metre beyond the defender and still be onside. This will all work perfectly, and not cause utter carnage. Edit, apologies, just realised they are just trialling the new offside rule in other leagues, and not the Prem. Thank christ.
  17. The classic football oxymoron. Immobile is actually quite quick.
  18. Hey, that's our turf! We'll have to have an Anchorman style face off with them.
  19. Wow, I did NOT see that coming. If he can upgrade the buckets underneath the roof leaks, then the denizens should be happy.
  20. Why is this man sitting on a ballsack? Clearly much has happened since I went to bed last night.
  21. Is that better or worse? Bones take ages, as do knee ligaments. Looks possibly life altering at first glance.
  22. I don't see how, given that doesn't lift his leg more than 3-4 inches off the ground, Marcelo could expect the opposition player to put his leg exactly in that small pocket of created space. He puts his weight on it, sure, but if that's a deliberate stamp he must have spatial an temporal awareness that borders on precognition. And he's not even looking at the leg in question when it happens.
