I see the aussies have turned up to boo us. How boring.
Anyway, thought we were the better side for the first 15, but flashes of Colombia counterattacking.
Making Kane, who has been with Spurs for 18 years, and scored 280 in 435, wait embarrassingly at an airport so he can renege on a deal is the most Levy thing ever. No one with any class should go anywhere near him.
This. It's a different sport, almost. Just enjoy it for what it is. I was comparing the women's WC to the women's Euros. The Euros were amongst the most I've ever enjoyed an international tournament, Men or Women's. By that standard, this tournament has been a bit of a let down, although I will be honest the games taking place at 6-8am our time hasn't helped me get into the spirit of it.
I'm on holiday in Cornwall at the moment, and we usually see a good number of football shirts. Villa well represented as always, as are Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs.
Dishearteningly there have also been some kids wearing Al Nassr shirts.
I really hope this sportswashing league does not take off.
So....25 minutes of injury time per half and players that can be nearly a metre beyond the defender and still be onside. This will all work perfectly, and not cause utter carnage.
Edit, apologies, just realised they are just trialling the new offside rule in other leagues, and not the Prem. Thank christ.
I don't see how, given that doesn't lift his leg more than 3-4 inches off the ground, Marcelo could expect the opposition player to put his leg exactly in that small pocket of created space. He puts his weight on it, sure, but if that's a deliberate stamp he must have spatial an temporal awareness that borders on precognition.
And he's not even looking at the leg in question when it happens.
