    I've always deeply disliked Brand for his pseudointellectual bollocks, and his enormous ego. He is what stupid people think clever looks like. Then he positioned himself as a kind of political outsider who'll 'tell you truths THEY don't want you to know'. He's an idiot who got smoke blown up his own arse so hard he thinks he's a dragon. I don't know if he is guilty of these allegations, and I wouldn't pretend to, but the fact that one of the women went to a rape crisis centre the day after the incident, rather than after a period of contemplation looks very very bad to me.

    Didn't the first episode of this season on Welcome to Wrexham indicate that they didn't get the grant?

    They've also had to put 20m in to renovate a stand, though at Wrexham. No way they are getting that back anytime soon. Each time you go up you have to spend bigger and bigger money to get players to compete. Unless you are Brentford who produce prodigious talent every year and sell for profit, I don't see it as a big earner.

    Tbf I think you can get money and then buy a football team, but I'm not sure it works the other way round. Especially at that level. No one ever made a fortune from owning a football team. It's a financial black hole.
