  1. Finally had a few minutes to tinker last night and used their latest set. It's way better. Solved the defending problem completely. It takes away some of the attacking flow (I think it might be the pass speed), but overall much much better.
  2. Just watching motd2. Nice touch by the Man U fans taunting Erling Haaland by chanting about Keane ending his father's career/livelihood. Stay classy Man U. Pond scum.
  3. Also, if you are into city builders I would 1000% recommend 'Workers and Resources:Soviet Republic'. Not necessarily as an alternative, but as another great game in your quiver. It's got a really steep learning curve, but it's soooooo worth it. It uses key materials, used to build pretty much anything, which all must be managed and sent to sites enabling building. It's similar to the early settlers games, in that to build, say, a house, you need to get vehicles to deliver bricks, concrete, steel, electrical components etc to the site, and buses to deliver workers. There is a mode ('realistic mode') which is a must play. In this mode you cannot buy resources to instantly build. There are no short-cuts. Everything must be transited from a customs gate from the outside world to your sites to get them to build, or later on as you develop means of getting the resources within your city, from the quarries, factories, timber yards etc. It's not for the faint hearted- depending on distances, and resource availability it can take up to half an hour of real time gameplay to build anything, but it is insanely realistic and addictive. I've spent hours and hours on it, sometimes leaving the computer alone for a couple of hours for things to take their course, only to find that the dumper truck delivering coal to my heating plant, which it needed to function, got stuck in traffic during winter and all my residents died of hypothermia. When you get it right, though, you look at the whirring wheels of the systems you put in place and just admire what you built. The effort shows. Also, don't worry about the 'soviet' aspect of it, it's made by Czech devs (I think), there is no Russian involvement, it's just a setting. Anyway, they are both great games worthy of your time.
  4. Yeah, I can't run top settings, and it is hardware intensive, no question- my PC was badass when I bought it 3 years ago- but it's certainly playable on middle settings for me. I'm loving it tbh, although the last patch killed my save. Call it a test run. If they get it stable and optimised it will be fantastic imo.
  5. I normally do but I was waiting a little before I did it this year as it usually takes them a little while to refine them. Time may be now.
  6. I think that might be a retrospective punishment. That should have been a red all day long.
  7. Happens all the time. That's why I'm not worried.
  8. Quality will tell when he gets a bit if confidence. Zani has the quality.
  9. Ta. No chance we won't see youri and Bailey on at some stage I reckon.
  10. Strong line up. Program I use doesn't show our subs though, anyone got them?
  11. That's fine, but don't go on social media and profess undying love for the club you are about to shift the week before deadline day.
  12. Why can't I defend any more? I've played every iteration of Fifa since 08 on World Class or Legendary, and now I'm conceding 3-4 goals a game, no matter what team I play as, what defending type. Mental. I can usually score 4 or 5 though, making each game a basketball score. I played the Beta and had no problems defending at all. Wtf?!
  13. This is going to sound weird, but when I picture Delaney, I mostly seem to remember him taking throw ins. Not long throws, just normal throw ins.
  14. I'm pretty certain Chelsea team combinations No.1,020, and No.3,437 include Carney. He just needs to hope he gets lucky when they roll the 1000 side team picking dice.
  15. I'm with you. That and the font make it look like a brewery sign. I think we may have to address the fact that Banks's have (or had at least) a similar logo to us.
  16. Ugo is a legend for me. I remember him loping back to cover a winger and sliding in from what felt like Sutton Coldfield to knock the ball out. His positioning was never as good as God, but his recoveries were worth the price of admission. RIP big man.
  17. Not really just new build estates, any new resi project is pretty much required to carry out soakaway (infiltration) testing to prove that (surface water) soakaways are unsuitable. It's actually gone way too far the other way as we're having to do these tests on loads of sites with heavy clay soil where there is doodly squat chance in hell they will work. I do a lot of watching water not move in trial pits.
  18. I do quite like the 'mate' thing if i'm totally honest. Not because i'm cruel, it just makes me laugh.
  19. Professional, classy performance. We barely got out of 2nd gear after we got the 4th. You need to look after possession in Europe, and while we had a couple of wobbles, I thought we did that, and took the sting out of the game. Bailey, a standout for me. I'd think about starting him on Sunday.
