I'm sorry, this formation is shit. It's great for keeping possession in our own half, but the wide players hugging the touchline are so, so far away from any support, and Ollie would need to take a bus to get him near any of our players. Drop Foden back, or push the bloody DMs forward.
Sigh...yeah it was Watkins fault.
Kane scores. Must be genius.
I was thinking how I'd try and fix it, perhaps by going 442, allowing Grealish to attack from deeper, and getting midfielders to run into channels to pull them out of their shape, but then I realised the only proper centre midfielder on the bench is Henderson. Our bench is terrible in terms of options for changing shape.
You are right, but in fairness I'm not sure I want the fullbacks bombing on with our centre backs.
Unai would conquer the universe with this England squad.
Every single one of our f***ing attacks is going up the left. They must have thought they saw a weakness, but they've repelled everything Grealish has got. For the love of god switch things up. Saka is having a cup of tea on the right hand touchline.
What happened to Grealish, man? No penetration at all. Square up to a man, wave your foot over it a bit, then pass it back to Rice. He used to glide through defences.
Fair enough.
Two more questions: 1. Why would Wrexham care whether Accrington look like filthy profiteers?
2. (Appreciate this is not a question) Explain why it is not profiteering.
Cambridge dictionary definition of profiteering:
"The act of taking advantage of a situation in order to make a profit, usually by charging high prices for things people need"
Accrington have made themselves look like profiteers....by profiteering. Whether or not Wrexham are guilty of anything else, they can't throw a bitch strop cos someone has called them out on something they are clearly doing. Once again, whether anyone else is also doing it is irrelevant.
Doesn't the extra gate receipts cover the extra security? How expensive are these security?
And Wrexham discounting fans....if they can afford it then good on them. They are from a hard up town, not high wycombe. Have you seen the prices of Lower league non league games? It's mental.
Kiddy Harriers are 18 pounds a game. For National League.
Cheltenham 20-25 pounds in League 1.
As far as I can tell, the only thing Wrexham have done is called out profiteering which disbenefits their own fans. And as a byproduct Accrington's fans. And they've done it by not financially impacting Accrington.
Question: Is it right to charge fans more for games where they can get away with it? Whether and how many teams do it is irrelevant. Is it right?
I still don't understand that. Unless Accrington is sold out, and I doubt it is given their ground holds 5000 and their average attendance is around 1200, giving wrexham more seats is also in their own self interest surely? At least financially.
If you're whinging about more fans coming to your ground I think you are probably in the wrong business.
