  1. I guess if you put a gun to my head and said 'say something nice about it', yeah the colours are good. That said, there is a massive wang on our logo!!!!!!
  2. Quite likely, or at least I hope so. The question then becomes- Why release Villa Ben Franklin? Keep that mother (with respect, Mr Franklin) locked up till you release the full beans.
  3. What about up near the HS2 site off Drews Lane? Would tie into transport links, and they surely don't need all of the space they are mucking about in up there at the moment. Not really Aston, but then it's not really Villa Park. Anyway I desperately hope it doesn't happen. Most of the new stadiums (stadia) are soulless, and commentators are always saying how they admire VP as a great historic stadium. The current owners and manager are always talking about fan engagement, and to that end we've scored a couple of own goals this week, with the branding thing as well (yes I know it's not the new badge).
  4. 'And it's H Penis Fifty U, H Penis Fifty U FC, we're by far the greatest team......'
  5. No they set up a focus group, ask a bunch of fans what they want, then unilaterally come up with a design that no one asked for or wanted.
  6. Only one way this makes any sense. New stadium. I'd be horrified if we moved away from VP.
  7. I'm sure there is a good reason for this but it would be refreshing to hear about something Heck has actually done, rather than him having put the brakes on something we were trying to do.
  8. On Ea Sports FC, the AI always keeps buying Tammy Abraham in the first window.
  9. Think Dougie is gonna be a big miss for us today. Think I would have started Bailey and Diaby and dropped Cash, but other than that the lineup pretty much picked itself with the injuries and suspensions.
  10. If the price of success is an entitled fan base like Arsenal I'm quite happy to remain grounded and humble tbh.
  11. Ladbrokes has us at 14 to 1. If I put up £50 if we lose, and Eddie puts up £700 if we win, I'll take that bet.
  12. The phone alone would be rubbish, to be fair, but with backbone you have a controller that attaches and just works. It's a bit laggy, but works fine. Incidentally going back to SWOS after all this time, it's sooooooooo fast.
  13. I just wanted to bring the attention of all you oldschool gamers like myself (Speccy>Amiga> PS1>Early DOS), I came across something interesting yesterday. I use Backbone to play games from various sources on an Android phone. Had an email from backbone saying they'd teamed up with Antstream (i'd never heard of them) which is a platform for streaming retro games (I think it's also available on Xbox, but I don't have one of those). I was skeptical, but had a look at their games list, and it's awesome. Signed up on the spot. It's 29.99 for a year's subscription (with a 20% discount from Backbone). Spent last night playing SWOS, Cannon Fodder, Monkey Island 2 and some speccy games I'd not thought about for 30 years. I went into my dribbling happy place.
  14. Cool. I am going to get this, then. Curious to know what you mean by fixing of issues? To be fair when I played it on PS5, it was some time after launch (but before the graphics overhaul) and it didn't seem particularly buggy at all. I had a great time with it. I had a very satisfying conclusion story-wise though, and for this reason I've not been back to it. A new story expansion might be the ticket.
  15. Well for better or worse it doesn't seem like we're flying under the Radar any more.
  16. To add a little more sauce to your point there, our run in for the next month or so is chock full of teams we'd back ourselves to beat. That 2.2ppg has survived some very difficult games on paper.
  17. I think it is a London thing in general. It's OK as a tourist, but I hate working there. Any interaction you have in London is so confrontational, selfish and self righteous. I went into a B&Q (other hardware stores are available) in London once, and they were a little (not massively) short staffed, leading people to wait about 1 minute for a till. I swear there was nearly a fist fight. I've never heard anyone screaming at a checkout worker so aggressively in my life. There was very nearly a fist fight. Over a 1 minute delay. The driving there sums it up too. No patience at all. Every spare space will be driven into immediately even if it means causing gridlock. It's always me, me, me.
  18. You'd have thought if any team knew about offside traps it would be Arsenal. Their team under George Graham was famous for it. And yet.....it still keeps working!
  19. Ref in the Palace game was absolutely appalling.
  20. Dibu on MOTD: 'I'm a believer'. Love you Emi
