  1. McGinn’s energy driving the high press yesterday
  2. Big Sam stepping down. From his statement it sounds like he may be walking away from football. Although I could make a crass joke about having done that about 10 years ago. badum-tish
  3. As a season it’s also worth reiterating that we had our best start to a season for 90 years this year too. Really good season. Couple of players and we’ll tear it up next year.
  4. The official description of our colours at the time included the word ‘chocolate’ too, as I understand.
  5. I want him to come back, score a hat trick against Burnley, then shoot a s**t eating grin at Ben Mee.
  6. I’m going to be a bit different and say the Ollie goal against Liverklopp. I love the way he just coolly takes it. Showing no pressure against last year’s champions.
  7. The obvious answer to this is the worldie that Chuk is going to score against Spuds on Wednesday.
  8. No judgment, I’ve just only ever known one Ghislain personally, and She was a she. Although is anyone anything these days? As long as we’re all happy. Anyway Kortney with a K and Courtney with a C, totally different names…..
  9. And I answered them about 3 posts down.
  10. Traore has a tendency to cut inside and drive toward the middle. I'm not sure if we put Jack in the middle permenantly whether we would want to coach that out of Bertie. It is nice to have an overload there, but they may get in each others way, and may expose us on the right (which for all his good points Bertie does a fair bit anyway).
  11. I just hope for his sake that he gets into the England squad. Also as an England fan I want that too. As good as Foden is, a fit, on form Jack will bring something to the team that no others can.
  12. I think he might be focused on England, so I doubt they will try anything too radical in the last few games. He will be trying to make an impression (although he's clearly not up to speed fitness wise yet).
  13. Plus one of the effects of doubling up on Jack is to create space for our other players, which only works to our advantage.
  14. Not really, the first season he was appointed they finished with 5 points fewer than under Sherwood. It was only after a summer that their improvement began.
  15. So? Sacking of Sherwood for Poch happened for the same reasons as Poch for Mourinho. If sacking managers after a bad spell is the right thing to do, then sacking Poch for Mourinho was the right thing to do. Results indicate not.
  16. Hope you are wrong. You could be right.
  17. Spurs. After sacking Poch for Mourinho they are currently in the same place in the league that they were the year before his appointment (6th). If West Ham finish strong, they are potentially going to finish in their lowest position since 2008. You can't use the example of Poch's appointment as an argument for sacking managers during a bad spell, without also using the example of sacking Poch for Mourinho during a bad spell, which has left them worse off than they were before Poch.
