  1. His retention of possession has been poor. Given it away several times.
  2. This is a bit cack. Can’t get out of our own third. We need someone 10 yards short of half way acting as an outlet, rather than hoofing it aimlessly to no one.
  3. Trouble is, we’re only one Ben Mee away from losing players for 12 months.
  4. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9603907/Chelsea-ready-offer-misfits-players-plus-cash-deal-Tottenham-star-Harry-Kane.html If this is true then two of our potential targets might be out. Tammy Hudson-Odoi
  5. But there is absolutely nothing to gain. We’d be financially better off if we put him in the reserves and never played him. He’s on around £60,000 per year, which is £3M per year. So we could have him on the payroll for the rest of his contract (til 2024) and we’d still be financially better off than selling him for half his value. Plus he might then come good.
  6. While we are in Scotland, Ryan Kent? He’s running at around a 1 in 3.5 strike rate for Rangers but he’s mobile and can beat a player.
  7. As backup/motivation though? And I agree Watto is awesome.
  8. We wouldn’t get a third of what we paid for him. That’s terrible business. You have to develop the asset before you sell, otherwise we’re literally just spunking money down the drain.
  9. What do you mean keeping him on? You wanna sell him? Loan him out?
  10. Christ. 3.58 over the season with 24 starts and 6 sub appearances. That is groin achingly awful.
  11. Wow, that's freaking terrible for a player in his position. What timescale is that averaged over?
  12. Kind of formalises what we all think about Trez's finishing. What is Barkley's actual xG figure?
  13. I would also add that I used to think that finishing couldn’t be coached. I thought it was natural. There is certainly a natural component, but Pep changed my mind with Sterling. I used to, and still do to some degree, think Sterling is the most infuriating player. I’d watch him for England terrorise defences, then get to the final 18 yards and shank it wide or over. I just accepted that he was never going to be the player I wanted him to be. Through Pep’s coaching his decision making in the final third has improved tremendously. He’ll never be Ian Rush, and he still does baffling things, but his finishing and goal return improved no end. If we do that with Ollie we’ll have some player. We already do, but y’know, he could be something else.
  14. Interesting analysis. I think Watkins has been great, but it shows he can still improve. He seems to be his own biggest critic though, so I’m certain he will. On a positive note, he’s clearly getting in the positions to generate xG.
  15. I have a feeling Tammy might go to Spurs if Kane goes.
  16. Yeah, but exercise bikes on the touchline!!!
  17. Quite literally by all accounts. Allegedly.
