  1. Dude has some quick feet. Lovely control even when the ball is seemingly outside of his sphere of influence, which is great for a quick counter punch team like us. I'm aware that it's a youtube highlight reel, but if that is the player we would get week in and week out, i'm very much on board. Looks like he operates in the centre quite a bit. maybe we could get some cross over between him and Jack.
  2. I must admit I’ve seen very little of him. I try to actively avoid watching Burnley if I can. Gives you eye cancer. What type is he? Quick, good crosser or inside forward?
  3. Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking of this.
  4. And hopefully it means we want to do business quickly. Looking good for Kinder Bueno
  5. The Brighton anomaly does not disprove the principle of xG. It's about how you interpret the data. It gives you the what, and interpretation gives you the why. It tells you plenty. The obvious thing being that Brighton are a bloody creative team who NEED SOME PLAYERS WHO CAN FINISH. It also tells you that all things being equal if we'd taken the chances created against Burnley as players would be expected to in the positions we achieved, we would have won both.
  6. All the best Elmo! Good servant for the club, and helped us turn the club around in hard times. Good man.
  7. Me too. I like how ‘clean’ the lines are on the Brighton kit. Somehow looks way better than the Baggies
  8. I dunno, Man u cheered me up no end yesterday. De Gea could still be trying and he wouldn’t have saved a penalty. Ahahahaha.
  9. If I was Poch I would be like……….
  10. Some people have mentioned that Buendia can play as a number 10, so a front four of…. Watto Grealish. Buendia. Perreira
  11. I love him going forward…….. As you say, we need to find a way to delegate his defensive duties to someone else.
  12. He really is a cockwomble of the absolute highest order isn’t he. Enjoy bancruptcy, shiteyes.
  13. I would have suspected Mason Mount too, and as I didn't see much of the game (first 20mins then highlights) I decided to check on the player ratings of Mount vs Grealish. BBC had Grealish at a 6.91 and Mount at a 3.34. Crikey I thought, did he come off early, or with an injury or something? Nope. Full game. 3.34? WTF! Did he just stand there f**king the corner flag for the whole game or what?
  14. You are not wrong, but there lies the tantalising factor that resulted in all those previous players being taken. And all of them would say when asked 'Yeah I'm 100% boss'. Of course they would. I would. He's not far off being match fit/sharp. But when is he going to get matches between now and the tournament? You can't use a tournament game to get a player fit, unless as a Manager you have balls of solid titanium. And yet...and yet... I would still take him. What do I know. Anyway....our problems at the Euros will be at the back.
  15. My big concern is Jack’s fitness. If I was not a villa fan and I am looking at this situation, all those memories of Owen, Rooney, Gazza, etc taken to tournaments after just coming back from injury, and it just not working would come flooding back. He was getting there against Chelsea, but he was not at his scintillating best. If i’m GS, I am wondering whether it’s a risk worth taking.
  16. Not making excuses, really my point was that the reason/excuse that existed then- that he needed to be playing in a better team- has sort of been addressed in house by us…being a better team.
  17. Interesting step up for Nakamba. I was/am advocating spending a good chunk of our budget an a new DM. Marv is still progressing though, which perhaps makes that purchase slightly less vital. Good on him, really hope he becomes the player next season we all hoped he would be!!! UTV!!!
  18. Unfortunately that's the only bit I got to see. I should stay off streams more
